If Canada would allow the Oil and Gas sector to not only improve the infrastructure by building pipelines to the Pacific Ocean, and to Eastern Canada, but also build more oil refineries, Canada could produce millions in revenue daily. The oil and gas industry is the most profitable industry Canada has.
If we try and dismantle the Oil and Gas industry, it will indirectly affect other provinces, as they will ahve less money to put towards costs in health care, education, social programs, etc. This is especially true for Quebec and Eastern Canada, but also for BC, since a very significant revenue source is oil and gas fields in Northeastern BC.
People who protest the pipelines do not realize that Canada has arguably the strictest environmental regulations in the World for natural resource exploration. There is no reason for BC or First Nations communities to protest, as BC and other provinces would ahve to rely on countries was inferior regulations.

And we tax payers have a bill for $4.7 billion dollars - NOT INCLUDING ON GOING INTEREST PAYMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And we tax payers will have to BORROW AND SPEND roughly ANOTHER $5 billion dollars if the pipeline is to be finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And considering that virtually ALL govt projects these days are OVER DUE AND VASTLY OVER BUDGET............................
that $5 billion completion fund may be WAY UNDER the final cost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
