You and Baird need to catch up on your history boy.
I think you need to learn how to read. Machjo is on your side, lol.
He's denouncing the bid simply because of Israel which I don't think that's reasonable.
How so?
I think if he could show how Palestine is not a peace-abiding nation then it would be more convincing as that is one of the qualification criteria for entering the UN as a state.
I can do that in one post with a small 5 lined paragraph.
I'm not defending Canada's position on the recognition of Palestine as a State, I completely disagree with that position, but can completely understand why the gov't has taken that line. I'm trying to figure out how you came to your conclusions. The first one you made...
Equating a palestinian UN bid with Nazism?
Nowhere in his speech does he do that. Although I can and have proven that Hamas has a direct ancestral link to Adolph Hitlers Nazi Party. Whose ideology is still quite apparent in the Hamas Charter and the overall culture of Palestinian leadership at present.
My honest opinion here is, Statehood, will be the down fall of Palestine. They need to, as Baird suggested, negotiate a permanent truce with Israel. Expunge the hate from their Charter and culture, get control of their territory and try again when they have done so.
Until then, they walk upon thin ice, above an abyssal of their own making. As I outlined previously with the outcome of recognition and the inability to control groups at work within their borders.
