MASH was the most watched television show in history during it's day. And we all know how much pop culture can influence nations. That flaming wuss character known as B.J. Hunnicut changed the way and redefined how men were perceived.
Before that effeminate wimp came on to our TV screens, American Presidents were mean-looking...Johnson, Nixon, Ford...etc. The only thing foreign terrorists understand is a bigger bully...the hammer, as it were. And so there was very little terrorist attacks during those President's tenures.
After B.J. Hunnicut? We had a string of kind-looking Presidents elected...Carter, Reagan, Clinton, then the Bush's. The terrorists felt emboldened by weak-looking leaders and attacked.
Now with grumpy-looking Trump at the helm, you barely hear a peep about foreign terrorists threatening the United States. I say this isn't a coincidence. If I ever went back to University, I'd write my thesis on how B.J. Hunnicut caused 911and contributed greatly to the demise of the Western world.
