Master in the White House? Saying that to an African-American... Racist

Well that's stretching it! Maybe the word Master should simply be removed from the english language. Instead of being the master to your dog you'll have to be something else because clearly your refering to blacks. You also can't be the master of your domain. Cause again your promoting racism. Does this mean the credit card company MASTER card is racist too? Best to switch companies. Can I say Switch? Cause wouldn't want someone to think I was referring to Corporal punishment using a switch on a child or something. That'd be advocating child abuse. Wait. I probably shouldn't use the word advocating. It's really close to avacado and that's green like an olive and some people have olive skin tones and they might think I'm referring to skin colour in a negative light.

There maybe other words and combinations we shouldn't use either since some will assume (ASSume) that others are using it in a racial manner. We'll need to make a rule book. Hold up. Can I use RULE? Cause Masters Rule and that again is bad. Hold up? Can I use Hold up? Cause that might refer to something of which I'm not aware of.

You know what? this assinine. Get over it!

When a white male says that to an African-American female there is clearly a racial rub.

This "Hero" of the "Great White North" knew what he was saying.

The way he used it was racist. It doesn't surprise me that you all are backing him on it and trying to justify it.

Re: RE: Axworthy

I suppose that you believe that one cannot talk to black people about hard drive settings as well. I mean jeez, how long are they going to stand there and take all this 'master and slave' talk!
Comeon! Get a grip, Canadians are not a bunch of racists, especially someone in the position of Axworthy

Then you probably should have called him a racist chauvinistic pign(which is also very wrong). But you didn't. You grabbed at something and made it something it wasn't.

Don't ever go into a private school. You'll freak out when the School master shows up.

Or are you saying that only black people are allowed to say this particular word? Cause guess what? that's racist.

The context in which it was used was racist. The word used in other ways is not in and of itself racist but the way he used it was.

Bottom line... he was a white male taking a racist swipe at an African-American female.

You know... after reading his letter again, I SHOULD have called him a chauvinistic pig. He was obviously talking down to her, hence showing his "assumed" superiority to her.

I wasn't saying that only people of color can use the word "master"... never did.

But you leftist/racist/ now sexist like to twist everything at any rate.

You did when you inferred a racist slant to the word Master. You disregarded the entire sentence and context in which the word was used.
He was obviously talking down to her, hence showing his "assumed" superiority to her.

He was obviously referring to Bush's position and Bush's feelings of his place in the white house.

But you leftist/racist/ now sexist like to twist everything at any rate.

But you right wing, over sensative freaks like to twist everything at any rate.

1. I was not inferring any of the sort. However by accusing me of doing so supports your argument so I see how you NEED to make this a sticking point.

2. The letter was addressed to her. He insinuated that she was subservient in the extreme by telling her "your Master in the White House". Clearly racial. The letter was condecending to her to make him superior to her. Clearly chauvanistic. He is a bigot and a chauvanist.

3. How very original. Feel free to use my lines seeing that you lack originality (and identity ... OHHHHH!) of your own.

Nobody was being racist, Eaglesmack. Not Axworthy, and not anybody here. Give it up.

Yes... it was clearly a racial and chauvanistic attack. What scares me is that you are defending this racist attack.... hmmmmm.

I guess I am really getting to you. Good. I knew you were weak.

Is the heat getting to much for you?

Funny, the beautiful Canadian figure skater that I dated said I was hot.

Yeah, sure. Alright. Just cause you say so I guess I'll believe ya.

She isn't subservient to Bush? You mean to tell us she's actually the master of the strings for Bush?

3. How very original. Feel free to use my lines seeing that you lack originality (and identity ... OHHHHH!) of your own.

funny, but it wasn't original when YOU said it either. Which was my point.

As much fun as this banter with you has been I have to go back to a real discussion with people who know how to discuss things. Come back anytime though. Like I said It's been fun.

1. I said it and I clarified what I said. But I know that it doesn't fit your argument when it is taken as it was written so I can see you putting your head in the sand.

2. See "subservient in the extreme". Telling an African-American Woman about her "Master in the White House" insinuates her being his house slave. Therefore it is a racist comment. He is the boss, he is in charge. He is not however her Master.

3. Poor back peddling. Run along now.
