As for competition...I don't really think that is much of an issue. As I said above the environmental cues which trigger spawning migration are different. It's unclear if the Atlantics would even travel as far upriver as the Pacifics.
I can't saee much for competition either. But what I can see is that perhaps if the Atlantics hatch in good time before the indigenous salmon, they may prey upon the younger fish.

To a point, those waters are about as protected as you can get, are there commercial fishing ventures are going on there, not necessarily salmon.
I think Les was referring to the part where you said, "
How much to buy both Bays? $60-70 bucks? "

Put a big M behind that 60 or 70 and you might be able to get permits for fish-farming. Come to think of it that might just be enough for the environmental studies.
