"Why this is one of the greatest photos ever taken"

British science YouTuber Scimandan believes that the now famous Artemis II Earthset photo is one of the greatest ever produced.

Humans are used to seeing sunsets and moonsets, but we rarely see earthsets...

I kind of find it funny that the US network cut off the splashdown right after they hit the water and the CBC covered the whole thing, splashdown, recovery of the crew etc.
Also, I heard no mention of Trump having any comments on all this. Maybe I missed that part.

Probably because the recovery of the spaceguys is boring as hell. Anybody with an internet connection could watch the whole thing on NASA TV.

Space stuff makes for lousy TV because they do the smart thing. Think about what you're about to do. Now think about it again. Check your equipment. Think about it again. Make sure everybody's on the same page about what you're about to do. Have somebody else check your equipment. Think about it again. Now do it, as slowly as possible, remaining alert for opportunities to back off and think about it again.

Because "Oops" means somebody dies.
