I was watching Court Tv about it and they said there are some inconsistances in that guys confession, he said that he drugged her and they found no drugs in her system when they did the autopsy.

Juan, this case dominates network news this week. I think it's pretty obvious the guy's a nutbar. It's embarrassing to see such an exorbitant amount of coverage time expended. When Karr is finally absolved I hope a lot of heads hang in shame.

First, you can't believe everything to hear on TV, especially court tv.
Secondly, not all drugs would have shown up during an autopsy.

Also, he knew some details not made public by the authorities.

Looks like there's a lot of egg on the faces of US justice personnel. John Karr won't be charged. Looks like his stab at fame is just about over. What's about to begin is far more interesting. How did this witless episode ever get as far as it has? How many people had to sign off on this one for it to take flight? And we thought the dodo was extinct. It's about to get a public airing in the US.

Boulder investigators are the modern day keystone cops.

I have a theory on why Karr was adament he did this. This is obviously a stab. I think it's possible that once he got wind that he was being seriously looked at as a suspect, and perhaps opening up an investigation to his antics in Thailand at the same time, he wanted to get his ass as far away from the Thai justice system as he could get. By confessing perhaps he knew he would be processed in the US as opposed to Thailand, where your only source of food is fish head soup unless your family brings you a different food source.

Just a wild guess.

The guy was facing serious charges in Thailand. The guy should be sent back, so the Thai government can pick up where they left off.

I didn't know that. If that's the case he probably did confess to get the heck out of there.

We're constantly told here that Thailand is full of such offenders. In fact, a large amount of its sex tourism supposedly depends on it. Why would Karr fear arrest if he was daily surrounded by those who shared his proclivities?

It's probably isolated to raunchy tourist traps. I doubt the government and justice system condone open season on all kids in all Thai places.

Kreskin, I hope you're right but I was watching Fox a couple of nights ago and they had an investigative segment on about Thailand. The reporter had no trouble at all finding grinning 11 year olds who serviced foreign perverts all day long.

I never said that I believed what they said on court tv, I was just saying what they we're saying on court tv. I know that not all drugs show up in autopsy's. Just because he knew some details that no one else did doesn't automatically make him the killer.

To be honest I never once thought he did it at all, but then I didn't care about the case nor have I ever. Also it doesn't matter now he was aquitted of all the charges because his DNA didn't match the DNA found at the crime scene.

Nearly 20 years after little JonBenét Ramsey was found murdered in her Colorado home, a man once eyed in the unsolved killing has been charged with sexual exploitation of a child, authorities said.

Gary Howard Oliva, 52, was arrested in Boulder Friday after he allegedly uploaded more than 20 sexually explicit pictures of children to a Google email address, according to reports.

Some of the photos that were uploaded in April allegedly showed a girl between the age of 4 and 6 engaging in sexual acts with a man, an arrest affidavit viewed by The New York Daily News read.

All children pictured were under 10 years old and were shown engaging in sex acts with each other or with adult males, The Denver Post wrote.

Oliva was identified as a convicted and registered sex offender who may have been close to the Ramsey home the night JonBenét was killed in a 2002 episode of CBS’s “48 Hour Investigates.”

The program claimed that Oliva called a friend after JonBenét was murdered, saying he was in Boulder and “had done something horrible” and had hurt a child.

JonBenet Ramsey’s unsolved murder re-examined in docuseries

Nearly 20 years after the unsolved murder of JonBenet Ramsey, the case will be re-examined in a six-hour docuseries.
A chilling new trailer for The Case of: JonBenet Ramsey which premieres Sept. 18 on CBS, features file footage, parts of the 911 call, new interviews and shows how experts rebuilt the crime scene to try to solve the mystery of her death.
One interview is with a 911 operator who said that she’d never been asked to testify before a grand jury, even though she thinks she would have “turned the case around.”
The child beauty queen was found strangled in the basement of her family’s Boulder, Colo., home on Dec. 26, 1996. She was six years old.
Charges were never filed in her death.
