I hope I didn't offend any actors here.

You just might have. Many notable actors are Republicans, including Arnold. They are not as cry-baby-like as are their Democrat counterparts.

The top actor in my book, Robert Duvall is a Republican.

Here is a list (unofficial) of more Hollywood Republicans ...

The Rock (Dwayne Johnston), Bruce Willis, Mel Gibson, Matt LeBlanc, Tiger Woods, Jessica Simpson, Demi Moore, Pat Sajak, Danny Aiello, Tom Selleck, Chuck Norris, Charlton Heston, Kelsey Grammer, James Woods, Bo Derek, Dennis Miller, Clint Eastwood, Alice Cooper, Kurt Russell, Tony Danza, Kevin Costner, Bruce Boxleitner, Bob Barker, James Belushi, Heather Locklear, Vince McMahon, Britney Spears, Ric Flair......

and the list goes on and on......

Arny?? you mean that woman groping sleaze bag steroid pusher?? Sounds right for California. Cos isn't that the state that bore reckless Ronny Raygun, that genius of 'trickle down economics.' Let's give the rich all the money cos they can sure spend it better than the poor.

Arnold was an Action Star and never had any acting chops. As for his money, you know he didn't spend one penny of his millions on his campaigns. Robert Duvall shouldn't be mentioned in the same page as Arnold!

Arnold is a perfect example of an immigrant who integrated successfully into American society. He is a good success story of the type of role model future immigrants can look up to. I know I did.

Why not, they are both noted Republicans. I do agree that Arnold has stared in mainly action type movies, however there are some exceptions. I recall he did act with Danny DeVito in a commedy, I think it was called twins. Robert Duvall is in my book in a class above the rest when it comes to acting. He is a natural. A good example was his role in the movie Open Range. One of the best movies I've ever seen!

Arnie's political skills seem to be even worse than his acting skills. That's why his numbers are in the toilet. The man's an incompetent idiot who tries to get through life spewing bad one-liners that somebody else wrote for him.

I saw a Robert Duvall film recently - The Handmaid's Tale. Are you familiar with it, Nascar? It's based on a Margeret Atwood book, a feminist allegory set in a future society, where the christian right have come to power, and in which environmental pollution and toxic waste have reduced fertility to a minimum and healthy babies are at a premium. A powerful totalitarian regime isolates fertile young women and doles them out as breeders for the ruling elite.

Dark stuff, very thought-provoking. I recommend it. Better still, read the book. 8)

I did see the Handmaid's Tale, but long ago. Must have been at least 10 years ago. Was not one of my favorite movies. It was more of a science fiction type movie.

Now Open Range, ahhh ... there is an excellent movie. Outstanding performances by both Robert Duvall and Kevin Kostner. Reminds me somewhat of the old John Wayne westerns. Kind of nostalgic as well.

RE: Arnold Will Run for R

While driving home on Friday I heard on the radio that only 35% of Californians wanted to see Ahnie back in office for the next term. Of course, after the Bush debacle, all bets are off.
