If I were living in the states, I may have been planning on voting Democrat. That is, until watching them cannibalize one another in their presidential primaries. What a ridiculous display, and they haven't even made it to the actual elections yet. I don't understand this. How does party cannibalism garner them any support when it comes time to actually decide who runs the country? McCain can essentially sit back and watch and smile as they devour one another and leave him with nothing but a ravaged corpse to run against. Handy.

Well the Republidicks don't have two worthy candidates so they can't do this. If they had a chance this time they'd have someone else bucking McCain.

Obama and Clinten are both worthy candidates, and the people seem to like both of
them, so that is why the campaign is going so long, it was thought at first that hilliary
would have this wrapped up in no time, but obama has gathered lots of support, so
LET the people vote, this is democracy working.
The media makes it look like a circus, as they can't operate on mature campaining, which
stick to the issues, that is boring for them, they operate on trash and garbage, and it is
garbage that they dream up. When real issues are discussed they don't talk much about it
at all, but they dig as deep as they can, and blow up little issues and make them the focus
of the campaign, and the sad part of that is that, the people get 'sucked' in.
Rev. Wright is loving this, cause he got to go on national television and advertise his book, now he will make millions from it, thanks to the media.

I still think that whoever is nominated will only acheivce a pirical victory. By the time they are done character assassinating each other and burning up badly needed funds to help with the real campaign that all that has been acomplished to date is four feet full of bullet holes and no doctor available in the Democratic house. Part of their big problem is Howard Dean who is a General with no Army to Command and no sense of direction.
Hillary's problem is.....well, she's Hillary.
Obama supports partial birth abortion and is connected with Jeremiah Wright, who is talking like a looney......although I was quite impressed with the way Obama refuted his past connection with Wright.....the man can speak, and he has charisma....no doubt. That makes him a great candidate, it doesn't necessarily make him a great president.
As for Wright, if Obama wins....what will he have to rant about? How America is racist? The guy is cutting Obama's throat.........

More than anything the US needs someone who commands respect when he speaks. The art of being a good President is selling others on ideas. I can visualize him standing at the podium in the UN and convincing people to follow. That's a complete 360 from the cowboy in charge right now.

McCain is a revisitation of McBush. It may appear that he's bothered a number of his republican brotherhood with nearly anti-McBush rhetoric criticizing Whitehouse policy on this item or that, but he's when is all said and done a Republican though to the bone and happy to continue the policy of "screw the poor...Rome was built by the wealthy and the strong"...

I heard McCain misspoke yesterday by telling the truth, that he wants an energy policy that will make the West less reliant on the ME and thus not having to start wars over there "for oil". Of course his spinmeisters hit the screens to proclaim it a cranial cramp.
I'd seen an interview with McCain where he hacked pretty damn hard on Republican policy, and on Bush specifically, about 2 years ago. I was shocked he made it in as a candidate, because he really didn't seem like much of a party man. He seemed like a country man, who was most similar to Republicans. It will be interesting to see what he does if he wins.
I don't think Americans are dumb enough to elect Bush and his gang of morons to a 3rd term. At least I hope not.
