The Fox network has signed up to develop The Animated Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie, a cartoon based on the famous Canadian hosers The Hollywood Reporter said Monday that Fox has become involved with the pilot episode and will back Canada's Global network to create the first 13 episodes. Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas, who developed the original Bob and Doug for an SCTV skit in 1980, will voice the cartoon.
Do you think Bob and Doug McKenzie are still funny after all these years?

Hey, it's got to be funnier than the neighbour on 'Grace under fire'.

What would be funny is to have something original on TV, but that takes talent. So, instead, we'll have 837 'reality' shows, and 234 remakes of old stuff.

...and the time of your parishoners...

? Does sanctus play tv in his masses? Because my priest doesn't. I think he may get some complaints from the man upstairs (you know... jim, the janitor.. the guy who watches from the choir loft?) if he decides to start showing Bob and Doug McKenzie (who are they anyway?) in mass.

By the way, how would my watching a television programme impact on my parishioners?
It eats up time that you have promised to the downtrodden the poor the lame etc, surely a man of your calling could lead by example and turf your TV. Ah maybe I'll catch the first episode myself, but only a few minutes and only with my left eye.

Who are Bob and Doug McKenzie? You have given yourself away, every Canadian knows who Bob and Doug are. You must be an American spy.

Okay.... that looks familiar. I'm gonna have to hunt down some clips, because I don't think I've really ever seen them aside from a passing glance or a pic here and there.

Curious.
