The 105th Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby - who crowned the King last year - has resigned over a child sex abuse scandal.

The Archbishop of Canterbury is second only to the King in the Church of England hierarchy.

Reform UK welcome resignation of Left-Wing Welby as Archbishop of Canterbury

Rt Reverend Graham Usher, Dr Guli Francis-Dehqani and Rt Revd Martyn Snow are the three favourites to become the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury, each needing the approval of the King - the Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

My understanding is that the monarch is the head of the Church of England.

Ah, the good ol' "I will assert something without a shred of evidence, and claim that it's true unless you prove me wrong."

Sorry, I don't do stupid.
