Nothing confrontational in asking if you had a good cry and feel better.

Boy, your nickname sure suits you well weirdo

capStain, in terms of your purposeful every-ready confrontation mode, your, as you say, "nickname", sure suits you well! Indeed, your pent-up need to derail any/all threads is a true testament to your "nickname", hey capStain!

apparently... the "best" democracy that corporations money can buy!

Proving Norway has no respect for taxpayers money. Norway also has mandatory military service. And high taxes.

Were you aware that the citizens of the US voted for an ice-free North by 2013?

That's democracy in action m'boy

so... because the Norway government principally finances its elections... the country of Norway has no, as you say, "respect for taxpayer's money"? Oh my!

capStain, how confrontational of you! So unlike you. (but really, I suggest you keep you own cry within the other currently running thread where the waldo laid a whoopin' on ya!) Carry on.

Seems like everyone but you missed that one. Must still be in your little pea brain.

you sure do have a phobia about the "ice-free North"! But hey, in the interests of yet another of your purposeful thread derails, I guess I missed that vote. Do tell, do tell.

I've been this way since before I was old enough to vote. And I am not particularly right wing either. Fact is for the most part corporate and workers interests are very much intertwined. Sometimes they just fail to realize it.

Like Greenpeace, Sierra Club & Forest Ethics?

... You might be onto something here

oh snap! I see what you did there... you sly dog you! Duh... how sad you are to presume to play corporations off against each other. Are those your "evil doers"? Again, now for the second time I'll ask, "is the SCOTUS Citizen's United decision a left-right decision"? C'mon capStain, even you should be able to answer that very direct and pointed question.

no not really. generally corporate interests are opposite of what the average citizen wants or needs. as the video shows corporations direct all policy influence where the opinions of the voters have no influence at all. you need to buy your influence - that's no democracy. because now you're alienating a large chunk of the population in favour of a small rich elite.

DOn't forget the unions. They also give generously of OPM. Corporations at least use their own money and are representing shareholders interests.

say what... a union versus corporation wedge play? Say it ain't so, taxi... say it ain't so! In any case, as I understand your whining about the spending of union fees in regards to political spending, that... that result is a direct outcome/shift that can be attributed to the SCOTUS Citizens United decision. But you should carry your wedge play forward and clearly delineate just how different unions are from corporations in regards to Citizens United... will it be a short list taxi?

You need to have a look see just who owns corporations. Aside from the management team it is workers investing their savings, unions investing their members pension funds and governments investing our pension funds. These are the people that direct what corporations do. It is in all our interests that corporations do well.
