Even more amusing is that you appear to think that left-wing notions of "democratic socialism" have their roots in Canada.

And downright hilarious is that you think anybody in New York knows or cares about Canadian politics or its half-witted philosophies.
You appear to , but you are in Washington apparently.

They all have Marxist roots
And most amusing of all is that you're apparently unaware of pre-Marxian communalism, or if you insist, "communism."

Run and hide under the bed now. Clearly, you are convinced that your political philosophy is so weak it cannot win a war of ideas with socialism, a word you can't even define.

The Greens , NDP , but how about the Christian Heritage Party ?
That and my limited knowledge of the interplay between Ottawa and the provinces, parties like Wildrose, how the Senate is composed, stuff like that.

In my shocking ignorance, I'm what Yanks would call an "expert" on Canadian governance and politics.

Meh, I take no credit. Just happens to interest me. I'm fairly expert on Irish history and culture too, just because my grandfather was Irish. He had no impact on my life (except for remote generation of it), but it sparks my curiosity.

Listen, despite my occasional flings at y'all, I find Canada admirable. For what it's worth. I try to emphasize, when I express my opinions, that I'm speaking on general principles, and I fully recognize that I have no interests and no say in what Canadians choose for themselves and their country.

All of which was not taken seriously until Carl Marx wrote the book, I've posted about it in other threads, since you are back to name calling an educated tool like yourself should know that Socialism is a benchmark of communism. Find the thread where BS and I were debating why Scandinavian countries were forced to be as Socialist as they are due to the fear of being communist.

Perhaps not in Canada. But eventually you may actually come to grips with the notion that Canada is not the world.

I note you still haven't defined "socialism." But nice try.

Simo "Simuna" Häyhä (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈsimo̞ ˈhæy̯ɦæ]; 17 December 1905 – 1 April 2002), nicknamed "White Death" (Russian: Белая смерть, Belaja smert; Finnish: valkoinen kuolema; Swedish: den vita döden) by the Red Army,[2] was a Finnish sniper. Using a Finnish-produced M/28-30 rifle (a variant of the Mosin–Nagant rifle) and a Suomi KP/-31, he reportedly killed 505 men (according to other sources he is credited with 542) during the 1939–40 Winter War, the highest recorded number of sniper kills in any major war.[3][4][5] Häyhä estimated in his diary that he killed more than five hundred Red Army soldiers in the Winter War.[6] Antti Rantama (Häyhä's unit military chaplain) credited Häyhä with 259 confirmed sniper kills and an equal number of kills by machine/submachine gun during the Winter War

Reminds me of Pegahmagabow the Canadian who held the record at one time for wacking nazis and fascists like our PM's and Hitlary's and O'bombast's friend Sora$$ the self admitted jew trainer.

Francis Pegahmagabow MM & two bars (/ˌpɛɡəməˈɡæboʊ/; March 9, 1891 – August 5, 1952) was the First Nations soldier most highly decorated for bravery in Canadian military history and the most effective sniper of World War I.

Three times awarded the Military Medal and seriously wounded, he was an expert marksman and scout, credited with killing 378 Germans and capturing 300 more.[2] Later in life, he served as chief and a councilor for the Wasauksing First Nation, and as an activist and leader in several First Nations organizations.
He corresponded with and met other noted aboriginal figures including Fred Loft, Jules Sioui, Andrew Paull and John Tootoosis.

His family still lives just up the Bay.

Maybe Youze guys (and gals and whateversexuals) gotta learn not to Yank on the trigger so much.

Which socialism model do you want a definition too? Canada has socialist traits thanks to Tommy Douglas and Allan Blakeney

Canada has Socialist traits due to the Methodists of the 19th century Long before Karl Marx was applied Christianity. The churches used to build the schools, hospitals, universities, charities, orphanages, hostels for unwed mothers, etc.. Yes, the results were mixed but Capitalist benefactors for any of the above were few and far between. Carnegie is the only one that comes to mind.

Give me your interpretation first and I'll decide whether more explaining is needed for you, unlike you I live in the province that introduced modern socialism to Canada, so don't stand on a pulpit and preach (piss down my back and tell me it's rain) to me about a system that broke our province by the mid '80's and just recently started getting ahead again.

There is a reason that legislation was passed into law that no deficit shall be allowed for more than 2 years, and why we will have a balanced budget this year.
