Well you continue to enjoy that and I do not hold your wealth against you but it's sad that you need to compare yourself to others to feel better about yourself.

I don't feel a need to compare myself to others, just you. Because you are a d!ckhead who relishes in the misery of others, my guess is because you have very low self-esteem. Your constant barrage of Alberta threads are an example of that low self esteem and a clear indication of some bitterness about your own shortcomings.

Even by your answer above. "I won't hold your wealth against you." Is a clear indication of that self-loathing.

I'm not wealthy, I make about 120 G's a year and I was smart enough not to dig myself into a huge hole of debt. Everything I have, my family, my possessions, my job, came about because of hard work and never burning a bridge behind me. I don't drive a brand new vehicle, 2006 Dodge Ram, which I paid cash for. My wife has car I purchased new, 2012 Chevy Cruze, when I spent three years working six week in and two weeks out flying between Ontario and Alberta. I only bought that so that I wouldn't have to worry about her breaking down while I was away.

Eventually, we sold our house in Ontario and moved to Alberta. My youngest son, fresh out of trade school also moved here when it became clear he would not get an apprenticeship in Ontario unless he knew someone in the trade unions. Now he is making good money and getting his apprenticeship.

The one thing I noted, having been in both Ontario and Alberta during a slow down is that there is no comparison. The people losing their jobs here are going home, NS, NFLD, Ontario, Quebec and when it picks up they'll be back. Those of us who live here have options. I didn't run the ice road for two years, but this year I did. Our company has secured more work for spring, summer and fall than we have in previous boom years. They pay fair wages for hard work and they get it.

Your lack of self worth is reflected in your constant trolling. You are not content to argue for the things you believe, instead choosing to throw up stupid memes and use labeling like con-bots. I can appreciate anyone who is passionate about a cause, even one as clearly flawed and corrupt as the environmental movement, but your bitterness and lack of self esteem is transparent to everyone except you..

Maybe you should take a look in the mirror and think about that, before having one off on Canadians who are experiencing difficulties and consider the root cause of that deep bitterness.

It's cliffy's higher moral standards expressing his joy of other people's misery.
He often wonders, though, why Catholic's arn't as nice as they should be.

Hypocrite

Thanks Harper.
(worst fukking thing to ever happen to this country)

Canada may need more than 3 years to recover from low oil, Poloz says - The Globe and Mail

He added: “It could be longer than three years before we’re settled at that new place where the energy sector will have shrunk relatively to the whole economy and the rest of the economy will have grown to fill that space.”

Bank of Canada deputy governor Lynn Patterson said on March 30 that the recovery would take more than two years.

In its latest quarterly forecast, the bank said on April 13 that the economy faced downside risks, including a stronger Canadian dollar that could drag on non-commodity exports.

Thank you, Harper for achieving energy independence from the Saudi's ;)

It was the right thing to do. And continues to be the right thing to do ;)

No, not really.

The Saudis jacked up supply so that just made us even more dependent on exporting garbage that nobody wants.

That's right. They can no longer control supply to drive the prices up.

Half the battle is won. Thank you harper

Now the only control they have is to drive prices down.

Our next step in energy independence is Saudi's own cost of operations ;)

Obviously we would actually benefit if they drove prices up.

Oil exporters are only harmed when the prices are driven down.

That's right. Half of our energy independence is achieved.

Before we had our own production. Saudi's could drive prices up indefinitely without losing market shares ;). Thank you Harper for energy independence policy.

They still wouldn't lose market share, but we would mutually benefit.

You're not very good at this whole economics thing.

We benefit from our low prices at the pumps if the prices are low. And we benefit from lots of work in Alberta if the prices are high. Thank you Harper for our energy independence . We love you man.

It's a win win.

You love getting intellectually owned don't you Floss

The only way you would benefit from high oil prices is your welfare check might get increased from all the extra taxes we working folks and businesses would pay.

Harper wasn't perfect but is waaaaayyyyy closer to it than Trudeau. Justin seems to believe a recession/depression is time to raise taxes and increase deficit spending.....but only spend in Ontario and Quebec. The kid is a tool....a very dull, rusty useless tool.

He's great at public perception.

In a PC place like Canada, that can take you all the way to the top.

And keep you there a long time. Harper knew that too.

First of all, neither of these have anything to do with Harper.

Secondly, oil prices going up has the disadvantage of harming manufacturing because of Dutch Disease.

The solution is to get off of oil and Canadians know that.

That is why the rebuke of Harper was swift and decisive.

Unfortunately, Alberta is the one that has to be the poster boy for what the entire country would have been if we continued along this path.

But as long as the grass root environmental movement doesn't put their money where there higher moral standards are, and continues to buy fossil fuel products, The whole idea is dead in the water.

Where is your solar panels floss?

And this is where the right continue to be naive.

It starts from the top not from the grass roots.

The only valuable contribution on the personal level to begin the process is to vote in the right party.
