It happened in Ontario when Mike Harris made cuts with budgets with the meat inspectors now it happening with the federal meat inspectors and the Harper budget cuts where human life is not the main focus of the Conservative government.

Don't know about Edmonton, but they did close down the plant in Brooks.

I see you're one of those that over cooks their steak and ruins a good cut.;-)

No medium rare is what I use to order, until Route 66 Casino and my steak was what I thought to be closer to rare than medium.. now I ordee medium or medium well.

What I find sad about this issue is what a waste of life.
... cows butchered and now garbage..

Waste of food and a poor cow that died in the process..

:-(Bought some steak from Wallymart last evening
Heard later last night some of the bad stuff had been sold to Costco and Wally across Canada
Over the fence for the racoons it goes
Unless they'll give me a refund (Wally, not the coons)
Still have the receipt
So much for the meat pie.

re: Half Bear's pig walking around.
Silly to eat a whole pig all at once.

I believe we were told way back when that it was going to be fine to reduce the number of meat inspectors as the meat industry had the best interests of the consumers at heart ,and would do a wonderful job of self policing. Never believed it. Don't know why.....

Plus nobody did the research to remind how MacDonalds requires a certain minimal amount of ecoli in order to give burger-meat the right taste.

Ever wonder what wonderous greatness could be achieved if MBAs were given good direction?
