Have you actually READ any histories of the Middle East???
A good place to start is "The Dummies Guide to the Middle East"- a bit pro Israel but does a fairly good job of going through the very complicated past.
"The Dummies Guide to the Middle East", might be more your speed. I took the hard road, got a good bit of a history lesson when I was briefed before being deployed to the Golan Heights, years ago.
But I found this months ago, seemed pretty decent. I like to debate informed. Which is why I don't ignore things like...
