I received a response from the message I sent (in relation to my concerns regarding this situation) to the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, P.C., M.P., the Member for Calgary Southwest and Prime Minister of Canada — which indicated that my message would be redirected to the Honourable Peter Mackay, P.C., M.P., the Member for Central Nova and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Five I know Peter MacKay son O Elmer lord of the fiefdom of Central Nova, he's from my neck of the woods, a waste of fresh air. Spurned even by ladys of his own party often willing to cross floors to be rid of his company, good luck deciphering any reply, it will sound like this blah blah blah blah if and but therfore very challenging, very important thankyou for your interest, have one on the way out, remember vote Con.

Yeah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs hasn't yet responded to my message — I doubt that man has even read it. I have received responses from each of the other three parties (even the Bloc Québécois, damnit), but apparently the Tories have no interest in conversing with just another Canadian.

Five, Harper seems to come out of hiding when he has wads of cash to pass around. I wonder if he will be visiting my neck of the woods, the farmers wouldn't mind a little of the cash he's dispensing. The phrase here kitty, kitty, comes to mind.

So true Beav, my riding is Scott Brisons, Liberal to the core. We know our roads won't be re-paved for a while, I'll just have to learn to steer the truck around the pot holes.

This case makes it tougher to keep the Cdn military mission in Afghan. I mean, it is obvious Afghanis look down on Cdns, Christians, and Westerners. Most Cdns don't believe in the death penalty any longer for any reason. And we are trying to rebuild a country that believes it should execute people because they change their religion? And Cdns wanted Sharia law in Cda? What a joke.

I believe Italy has offered asylum.

Muslims are certainly skilled at cutting off their noses to spite their face. The next real or imagined slight, and I guarantee they will be calling for world sympathy.

Gawd, I actually agree with you on this. On the one hand we want them to govern themselves and on the other we dictate what they shoud be doing. When a Prime Minister can intervene with a Court Decision, that country has a long way to go yet.

I can see why you two agree.

BUT !!

I think perhaps this agreement is symptomatic of too
simple a definition of what democracy means.

Lately one man one vote and majority rules seems
to be the final definition of democracy.

This is a false definition of democracy.

The least important element of democracy is
majority rule.

I repeat, MAJORITY RULE is the LEAST important element
of democracy or of a republic for those who are more
fastidious in their definitions.

Now you might wonder why, eh ?
