Like B.C. & Ontario, we've learned our lesson. I just hope it stays learned
for several more consecutive terms. Nova Scotia, best of luck to you!!!!

Ron, I understand that NDP is still very much a viable party in Saskatchewan, for the simple reason that there is no other alternative, Liberals are non existent. So when Conservatives mess up (as they inevitably will), I would expect that NDP will be back in power again.

But not so in Ontario. NDP is safely in its traditional third place, and the fight is between Libs and Cons. So we can safely say that NDP is not coming to power in Ontario for a long time.

Conditions are different in Saskatchewan. It is either NDP comes back to power or you have a one party rule for decades (as they have in Alberta, they close their eyes and vote for the Conservative Party).

If it is the choice between NDP government and a perpetual conservative rule, I suspect people will opt for an NDP government, especially when (and it is a question of ‘when’, not of 'if’) Conservatives mess up. Saskatchewan ain’t Alberta.

Hmmm....Interesting take on things, SirJoe....and yes, Saskatchewan isn't
Alberta. As far as perpetual (or otherwise) Conservative rule, you might
want to take a look at who is currently governing Saskatchewan and the
origins of that party. I'll post a link that's not entirely accurate, but close
enough. The Sask. Party was started by four Reformers and four Liberals.
Take a quick look at the following link, the ideology, origin, etc...quick read:

Saskatchewan Party - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Just because the Liberal Party (provincially & federally, except Ralph) are
non-entities in this part of Canada at this point, it doesn't mean that there
aren't Liberals...they're just part of the current centralist Party.

Yes, the NDP will govern again in Saskatchewan again someday, as most
things are cyclic (even those nasty bellbottom jeans came back for a while),
but hopefully not for a couple of terms.
