Molson free beer allocation goes flat for retirees

Molson pensioners losing (a portion of) their beer allowance? Foul! Foul! That's like the single best reason to work for a beer company---FREE BEER!

And they're pis sed, too (pardon the pun!). Good on 'em. If there's anything in this world worth fighting for...
But there's nothing so lonesome, so morbid or drear, then to work for the brewery who won't give out beer!:lol::lol:;-)

It's snowing here.
Better with free beer?

I think that comparable ... in terms of tragedy. Granted, it would be better to be stuck in a snow storm with a beer, but without beer or in a June snowstorm or without beer, what's worse?

Does that mean Molson will then cut back on the girls in skimpy outfits going to functions. Setting up the free sample tables...tastings they call it...beer sales reps have in budget from Molson to give away free beer? They could commisionaire their retirees and pay them in beer instead of hiring outside the company for this job.

Meh........ Old English Pale Ale is good....Honey Nut Brown Ale better. Domestic beer is the bargain bin beer anyway.

Heard it was supposed to snow in Calgary today. Is that where you are? We are having a normal temp day today - got up to 25, but, yesterday we had record breaking temp. of 35. Lovely weather to have but I admit it's nice to be back to 25 today. Tomorrow our high is supposed to be 22. Rain by Tuesday but we need it. It has been very dry here.
My husband was watching a ball game or something tonight and he said everyone was wearing warm coats. What an odd year.

I'm not convinced we want to see the girls that Molson can afford. Isn't Molson going the way of the Ford, General Motors ... something like that.

Retirees can try to drink beers and sell, but it's all about the glamour, isn't it. Maybe it's time to give those southern states a proper Eskimo name like Nunavit (none of it in Canadianese) and then the economy will be normal. Molson needs fancy cars and plasticized women if they want to sell, not retired alcoholics ... maybe they need to go south.

It snowed in Calgary today, and we're promised more for tomorrow ... although in Calgary, that could change anytime. This is not normal for June. We had snow until May 31, but when it melted everything was green. That was cool.

Highs of 35 are nice in Canada, because we don't have the humidity ... unless you're in Ontario ... and then 35 is a bit soggy.

This has been the longest winter that I remember, although my mother remembers one similar about 50 years ago. It goes in cycles, I guess. I remember grade school years where the school bus was caught in blizzards and everyone had to stay at a hotel overnight. I'm in favour of global warming ... unless it means unseasonably irregular temperatures.
