is apparently a thing in American high schools now

In the last year, there have been more than a dozen hazing incidents around the country involving high school boys who have sodomized other boys with foreign objects, reports Bloomberg. Over 40 boys have been reported victims. Most have been younger students.

There’s a dearth of data concerning the size and scope of the national boy-on-boy **** hazing problem. Astonishingly, though, a study published in the Journal of Youth and Adolescence has claimed that nearly 10 percent of high school males report suffering some form of sexual assault including, in some cases, forced oral sex or rape.

Social media plays a big role in the spread of hazing in high schools, asserts Susan Lipkins, a New York psychologist who has studied the phenomenon. High schoolers learn new and more brutal ways to haze thanks to virtual communities.

No wonder the Muzzies won't send their kids to public schools.

Are we ever going to consider the possibility that the prevalence of sadistic violence in the entertainment media and video games might affect the developing of psyches of young people?

After the stuff that Locutus posted on this page when I looked at this thread title I thought it was about his plans for the weekend.:)

It's hard to believe that people do this kind of thing to other people.

Doesn't sound out of step with stories I've heard from generations prior to theirs. I guess the big difference would be technology being a part of the story, making it sound new.

High-school hazing and bullying used to involve name-calling, towel-snapping and stuffing boys into lockers. Now, boys sexually abusing other boys is part of the ritual. More than 40 high school boys were sodomized with foreign objects by their teammates in over a dozen alleged incidents reported in the past year, compared with about three incidents a decade ago, according to a Bloomberg review of court documents and news accounts.

I remember that kind of stuff from my high school days, I don't think I ever heard of someone shoving a pencil up someones elses *** just for the heck of it. Seems pretty hardcore to me, where are these "people" going to take it from here?

The only difference is how much it gets talked about outside of counseling and doctors' offices. The social media record of it happening. The digital fingerprint of boys talking about it.
