Wanna bet that the inner core of the bush regime is having closed door discussions as to how they will spin things when more questions are posed to them and more aggressively. ??? They might decide to use the "dismissal" tactic .....and act like those issues don't even exist.or are "just so irrelevant" in their "higher order" of things. Or render another terror alert....(just for good measure)

All politicians have spin sessions on a daily basis. The Bush people seem to have placed themselves in a bubble though, and that is going to make effective spin very difficult. They are losing the press a little at a time.

If you look at Bush's popularity ratings, it's clear that he's in trouble. I don't think they can continue to ignore this.

I don't think they can respond effectively. That's their biggest problem...if they soften their position they alienate their core supporters, where the money comes from. If they don't soften their position they continue to alienate the world at large and their soft supporters, where their votes come from at home and their backing comes from in international matters.

Seems the "best"solution is to get that gang of criminals out of there , and start with some fresh thinking. Put someone with brains/political savy in charge.

It might an idea to gravitate AWAY from the sheriff mentality completely. If an agency like the UN needs to be upgraded, polished up, and even redefined.......that might be the way to go and avoid this "sheriff "nonsense altogether.

If troublespots arise.....then the mode would be : send peacekeepers in to restore stability.

time for some new think on this whole issue . ALL WARS must be condemned forcefully, ALL those that start them must face criminal charges under international laws. The entire focus must change into Peace and peace keeping , and peaceful resolutions to issues. Any nation that STARTS a war is an outcast of the world society. Changes the whole tone of things.
