Why do you make such sweeping assumptions? I'm not inclined to respond point by point to everything you post, some of it's ideas we've covered before and some of it I've given up on trying to get through to you on. I just wanted to point out that consistency is not a sufficient condition for something to be true. Your whole argument stands or falls on the truth of Scripture. You've stated elsewhere that you believe it to be literally true except where it's obviously meant allegorically (though what's obvious to you isn't the same as what's obvious to me), and until you can justify that position, you've got nothing.

If it not justified, it is you who got nothing...

quit yer whining!.. and get with the brotherhood... and add your piece... or we give you scratches and teeth-marks from here...

What are you..?

For example, the 6th trump says 1/3 of mankind is going to be killed over the period of 1110 days. On a daily basis that is about 180M. You say it won't happen, I say the book that gave me the information on this is a description of a literal event in our future....And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth"
If God was giving us a little geo lesson. The 1/4 just happens to be about the same number as earth/water is for the earth. If Satan chooses all the land then that is how far his 10 earthly kingdoms extend. Everybody in any of them is a subject to those Nations. Anybody in that area would be a possible victim...
The 4 fallen angels die in a river of blood. That blood becomes solid. The bones of men get gathered into a pile.

One of the great ironies that must present to our dear Christian friends, or at least those with a bit of sanity left, is why the destruction of mankind is such a prevelant theme in their rantings? Why do they and their Killer Old Goat hate humanity so? Why are they so bloodthirsty and eager for the slaughter of millions?...Must have something to do with the ridiculous nonsense of the scriptural fairy tales they "interpret" and take so seriously.

Is it just fairy tale nonsense or murderous paranoia?

The whole point of fundamentalism is stagnation.

Hallucinations can be more vivid than real life.

OhMan!.. You Said It!..
I can cast an illusion that the spectator to life, sees as reality...

I'm gonna try it with the next small-bear I meet...
I sees it before it sees me.. I coats myself with a bear entity, by imagining how it be to breathe through a bear's nostrils.. till anyone would now see me as a bear.. like in how Rachel changed into a black panther right in her living-room.. what nearly made me "jump outu my skin, and how well I managed to not piss myself when the thing rested its huge dagger filled paw on my leg.. and up and bit my neck hard, licked my face, and purred like a warrior... and licked my face again.. whilst falling into my arms embrace whilst changing into the human, shaping her mouth into the millennium's next prima-kiss... is when I notice a few shed panther-hairs on my arms...
I'm bets you couldn't hold yer peepee then.. like I did...
What's with it with all these witches.. when it seem their main path is to frighten the piss out of males..?
But if you can't handle it, you don't gets to play with the Witch...
and your playground be the cityfarm...

The plan is to meander up to a small black-bear, coated with this bear-illusion... Let it sniff me.. then drop the coating, and say "Hi babes, wutz'shappnin?"...

I'm bettin' that bear is gonna leave a ten-foot long streak, a goin' that a way...
I can't wait to test it on a full grown lady cougar... I'm guessin' she'll bolt and run.. but in a few seconds she'll return the absolute-warrior... And I'll teach her English, and a couple hundred words...
And we'll rest there together in the warm sun.. enjoying the smells and feels of the forest, and the company... is about the time I might offer her majesty a plastic tub coffee-creamer of 18%BF... like how I offered my dragons my warm blood for these 35-years... is why my cast illusions watch over me, as they should... but the one that visited, walked up on the bed, behind me, cracking and breaking every strap of wood in the bed frame, was a little bit much...
...but after the one that stroked my face to pull me out of nightmare, now I don't mind so much that they now exist in the physical realms as well as the cosmics... It's my future.. I built it now, while I had the time to work this life like it's intended to be run...
no-sense lingering in their hell, now that I've found a way out, far beyond your heavens and hells...
...but I just can't seem to wake the dead to a little more reality...
seems humanity went extinct long ago... when they gave the reigns of Life to Money...
Money is spending Life faster than the planet can replenish... she's running out of life.. and you still spill oil on her face...

There is no "truth of scripture"...

The priest who molested me, at 3-months, read in Rome's libraries many years, stationed Rome, treasurer of obelisk monks... I downloaded his memory flows... and while he held my arms and legs, and clamped back-on my dinkie, A large hand appeared before me, and moved toward his chest, penetrating his chest, and squeezed his heart in an ever tightening squeeze.. is when he released me, and stood straight up, arching his back, gasping for breath ad clawing at his chest, while I'm squeezing the hand tighter and tighter.. and he's turning blue, and I holds him ten-seconds longer than he abused me, then flings his heart away, and he takes flight, slamming into the adjacent wall so hard, that he takes out a ceiling tall wall to wall bookshelf unit, and down he goes.. while the mother mary statue on the adjacent top-shelf, teeters to a halt, to resting back on its base... His feet never touched the ground...

...Now I see all that data I got in downloading that pedo-priest... I don't see any truth in any of it... sorry.. I just can't find any honesty in any of it... It all reads like it's just a gays ultimate party trick...

Howzabout we take a good look at the truth of Life, while we still got some...

YeaH!.. Show a christin a mean looking most wicked frightening Dragon.. and the christin is trying to think up all the ways to kill it...
Whilst I'm on the critter's other side, stroking its belly, feeling the dragon purr...

A dragonfly flies near.. I says an excited "Hi!".. and it circles my shoulders, decelerating.. and lands on my nose, a minute... I am free to touch the visitor parked on my nose... It's a powerful delicious feeling when all of nature trusts and loves you...
The rest of you probably can't know what yer missing..?

Bottom line.. The bible in one sentence.. Try to live as healthy as you can.. and, Heaven doesn't want assholes...

When in Rome

It's a welcome shelter from the dark storm of self-worship

By MICHAEL COREN
As you read this I am in Rome. Where so many founders of the church lived and were martyred and from where a pristine and sparkling truth emanates and then glides over us like some sweet-smelling cloud to provide shelter from the dark storm of materialism and self-worship.
I am here with my wife. We have been married for more than 20 years, have four children and know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that Easter commemorates His crucifixion and resurrection and that by belief in Him we are offered eternity with the God who made and loves us.
Because of this we are thought to be rather out of step with the times, old-fashioned, extreme or even offensive. Our faith is made fun of, abused and insulted in mainstream media on a daily basis and it has become popular to allege that the problems of the world are caused by people like us.
We are labelled as bigots, racists, fools and fascists. In the Middle East, China and Africa they torture and kill us, in Canada and Europe they marginalize and mock us. And none of it matters one little bit. In fact it is yet more proof that we are right.
If we didn't matter and had nothing of importance to say, nobody would pay us any attention or scream at us. The irrelevant are ignored, the blandly comforting are embraced, the cowardly conformist is adored. But we are mirrors, reflecting the sordid nature of a culture obsessed with itself. Oh how that image burns and hurts.
NOTHING NEW
Legion are the new philosophers with the old philosophies. There is nothing new under the atheist sun, even when it comes in colourful dust jackets and is written by ostensibly clever professors and journalists. They are like tired echoes of ancient pagans, shouting their disbelief as they threw believers to wild animals and tame executioners.
Nothing new under the atheist sun, but everything new under the Son of God. Every morning unwraps with new possibilities of living the Gospel, or proclaiming truth, understanding and the promise of everlasting life.
Easter is love. Authentic, absolute love. Easter is the heavenly link, pulling us back to the creator. Easter is the door opened so we may see God's plan and truly know what, why and who He is. Easter is the sublime within the human, the opportunity for all of us to participate in a delight beyond full understanding.
I could counter the usual arguments with ease. Inquisition, Crusades, Galileo, wars in the name of Christ, bad Christians. All fatuous objections, but all -- and this is vital -- less objections than excuses. Far easier to hide behind digressions than to face head-on the most important question of all time.
Is it or is it not? Is He or is He not? The answer will decide not only the rest of your life, but also where you spend all of the Easters of time to come. The question is being asked now and will be until your body has lived its meager few decades.
Only you can answer. You have been given the freedom because freedom is a product of love. In Rome there are many who have seen and know. In Canada, right now, is it up to you. The cloud of truth hovers. It will never pass away but you will. Easter.

The truth emanates from Rome, does it? Isn't that were the former Bishop Cardinal Law was called to by the pope to escape certain charges by US courts on aiding and abetting child abusers, who were his priests in the Boston Diocese? What's the good Cardinal up to now, hiding behind the pope's skirts?

That's not an answer.

I may not be a christian myself but I do many who have done very good work for the poor while many libs do nothing but talk the talk. I myself as a evolutionist hope beyond hope that I am wrong and that I will reunite with my loved ones in the afterlife.

Well then, chappy, old boy let me do give you an answer before your cheap sherry evaporates, maybe take a quaff now; it may help THE TRUTH GO DOWN.

Coren paints this sweetly, almost cherubic innocence of his present vacation as being a place from which truth emanates, and therefore everything that follows in his little post card MUST ALSO BE THE TRUTH. A child can identify this subtle brainwashing.

"I am at the font of truth, therefor everything I say is and must be true".

Maybe that trick worked once, it doesn't any more.

Still not an answer old chap.

Try again.

Maybe old chap yer not that swift - You asked why I said Coren's article was peurile - I TOLD YOU. Because he starts from the silly premise that he is at a place that emantes truth, and I say that's cheap trick to validate all that follows. Understand? Too much cheap wine...?

What does that have to do with truth?
