Really?? Free meaning 3% of the population are free to dictate what the rest do their their own property? North America is an offshoot of what Europe was like in 1500AD, Royalty and Surfs where the surfs are given as few rights as possible and the Royals never reach a level of luxury where they 'give to the poor'.
The fight is as fake as it gets, the 3% spend almost all of their time and energy making sure the 97% don't end up with any luxuries, knowledge included, knowledge that the world doesn't need a 3% to run it for the rest.

And yes, Wealth needs to be controled by owners of goods and services, if thats only 3 % then thats fine. So be it. Earth doesn’t need 7 billion humans consuming endlessly. A whole lot of useless people are no longer needed on this planet and have not earned their right to survive. Like Nature has always happened.
