If the government sells heroin, we can reduce the budget deficit by taking in more revenue and spending less on drug enforcement cowboys.
Sure. They can hire out to Saudi Arabia and the UAE as mercenaries.But what about the for profit prisons? They'll loose a good portion of their inmates, make less money, pay less taxes, donate to less political parties, etc etc etc.
Will they be able to recoup that loss?

Businesses and wealthy elites do not need to shelter over $30 trillion overseas. There is no evidence whatsoever that this benefits society or spurs economic growth in any way. On the contrary, the trickle down theory has been proven to be a total farce.
