They are putting him through the grinder.

Hell yeah! 31-6.

Mitchell was wincing after the 4th sack.

Mitchell sacked 5 times. Beautiful!

40-27

Huzzah!

Simply..........OUT FRICKIN' STANDING, pete. I love it when we hand the Stamps their asses like that, and to see Bo go down so many times - to the point of obvious frustration - Beauty. Jones defensive schemes rocked. Special teams rocked. Hell the entire team rocked the field today. That it happened in Mosaic in front of a sold-out crowd............Brilliant. Regina will be rockin' tonight.

Lions are screwed. Then again, when aren't they?

I figure a team has some problems when I see the head coach chewing out his QB on the sideline more than once in two consecutive games. Those problems transfer to the field and what should be a cohesive unit, as we saw tonight with the Riders, breaks down. Players run the wrong route, they don't give that extra inch when it could have made a real difference, they miss tackles.......the list goes on. I feel sorry for Travis. He does his best with what he's been handed.

But, you are right..........I think the Lions are toast.

Wally stands there without a headset expecting Travis to read his mind.

In the game against Edmonton he threw a late incompletion, thinking they were in field goal position and he didn't want to take a sack. Travis comes off and Wally lays into him because he had no intention of kicking a field goal and he wanted the clock to run down, sack or not.

Miscommunication and unforced errors don't cut it any more. It just showed me how jurassic Wally has become.

Riders are going to leave an orange stain on the field in BC Place (or whatever the f-ck they call it now) next weekend.

You dont like orange juice?

It's the 2 games after BC next week that I'm more excited about.

I used to love orange juice, pete but lately the acid is a bit too much for my tummy - shame that. I'm looking forward to every single game we have going forward, pete.

Yesterday's victory over the Stamps was a win in several ways as these comments from the TSN website illustrate.

"What's more, the Riders beat the Stampeders at their own game.

Calgary's defence entered the game leading the CFL in fewest yards allowed (255.2 per game), rushing yards (72.3), passing yards (199.7), offensive points (11.1), touchdowns (six) and passing TDs (three). Offensively, the Stampeders were tied with Winnipeg for fewest sacks allowed (nine) and had committed a league-low eight turnovers.

Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell threw four TD passes but was sacked five times. He also fumbled once and had an interception Nick Marshall returned 67 yards for a touchdown.

Marshall, a former quarterback at Auburn, also had a three-yard TD run for the Riders while Matt Elam and Charleston Hughes both had two sacks apiece. Marshall became the first CFL player to score two different ways in a game since Winnipeg's Milt Stegall had a 37-yard touchdown catch and 52-yard fumble return off a blocked punt July 15, 1999.

Hughes played 10 seasons in Calgary before being dealt twice — first to Hamilton then Saskatchewan — this off-season. He has a league-best 11 sacks, the sixth time Hughes has had 10-plus sacks in a season."

If they can kept the synchronicity going the second half of the season is going to be exciting.

I watch all the games on TSN every weekend but yesterday was one of the best in a couple weeks.

I'll be watching it again as I'm quite sure it will be the game of the week on TSN rebroadcast schedule. The second time around, I get to see a lot of the little but important things I missed yesterday.

How are you holding up around the fire zone, btw? It looks horrendous from the news that we are getting, here.
