And nobody in the US really gives a bleep. Once boys reach the age to play football and baseball the soccer cleats are given to the neighbor with younger kids.

And lucky for you because the US would dominate the sport like our US Women do.

The US only dominate women's football because nobody else bar the Japanese are that interested in it.

If women's football had the same global popularity that men's football enjoys then the Yank Ladies would have won diddly squat.

But, thankfully, England are on the rise in that sport and, as a result, they'll stop you winning as many trophies in the future as they start to win them instead.

No excuses... we simply don't care about soccer.

You didn't say that during the Women's World Cup when you were when you were telling us all how great you are and posting all the photos of your harridans with their trophy.

Face it. Your men's side - the PROPER football team (women's football isn't a real sport) - are ranked below Iceland (whose national sport is handball) and Algeria.

That's not true. You don't dominate men's football because there are too many good teams, unlike in women's football where the quality of opposition is far lower. If women's international football was the same quality as men's international football you wouldn't never get close to winning the Women's World Cup. You only win it because of the poor quality of women's football.

You didn't say that during the women's world cup.

I didn't say much at all during the cup which gives you my level of F*** that I cared.

You on the other hand gave us pages and pages of copy and pasted drivel.

I did enjoy seeing the brits choke though.

Something I never would have known because Zero F***s are given when it comes to mens soccer in the US.

Except when US are ranked higher than England, and you like to gloat about it.

Because it drove you bat sh*t. It was hilarious. Everyone enjoyed that here. After you claiming that England would win the World Cup and they finished behind the US (a nation that could care less about soccer) was pretty funny.

I've followed the BPL since a broad spectrum of games (all are now available on premium channels) became widely available in the last 5 or 6 years (as opposed to the 'Game of the Week' format before that).

I follow Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. Having no real relationship with these cities.. i chose Liverpool because it was the home of the Beatles and the Cavern Club. Tottenham because it was a north London club and has such a great name and logo.. 'Hotspur'.. 'the rooster rampant'..

It comes on early Saturday morning for me, and usually wraps up by 9 am with one game after that for the American market that can be taped. Being an early riser anyway, getting up, putting on a pot of coffee and watching the games has become a Saturday morning ritual for me..

So Go Liverpool.. Go Spurs.. do in those Red Devils.. and Chelsea swells.

It's great entertainment.

No, it didn't. England finished third, which I was extremely happy about.

And the first Premier League goal of the season is one to forget for Tottenham's Kyle Walker, an own goal.

Wayne Rooney is one-on-one with the goalkeeper. The skipper gets his feet in a muddle and in an attempt to nick the ball away, Walker only manages to poke it into the net.

Yesterday's Premier League Results

Arsenal 0-2 West Ham United

.......................................................Kouyaté 43′ Zárate 57′

At the Emirates Stadium. Att: 59,996

The Gunners suffered a shock defeat against fellow London side the Hammers

Arsenal's season started with defeat as West Ham won their first Premier League game under new manager Slaven Bilic.

Keeper Petr Cech misjudged Dimitri Payet's free-kick to allow Cheikhou Kouyate to nod in the Hammers' first.

After the break, Mauro Zarate finished from 20 yards after being gifted the ball by the Gunners defence.

Arsenal had 62% of possession, but put just six of 22 shots on target as Aaron Ramsey's first-half effort against the bar was the closest they came.

Gunners fans, who left the Emirates Stadium in large numbers before the final whistle, will feel like they have seen all this before, not just in the way their side performed, but also in the familiarity of their starting line-up.

Former West Ham defender Slaven Bilic was victorious in his first Premier League game as the club's new manager

Cech's arrival from Chelsea has been Wenger's only summer signing since last term's third-place finish, and it was an uncharacteristic display from the experienced keeper.

The 33-year-old was not only at fault for West Ham's opener, but was wrong-footed by Zarate's strike, although he received little help from his defence as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Francis Coquelin gave the ball away on the edge of their own area.

Olivier Giroud frequently looked isolated up front, which will no doubt increase the hope among Arsenal supporters that a reported deal for Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema can be completed.

Bilic, 46, a former West ham defender, replaced Sam Allardyce this summer and was handed a remit of getting the east London club playing 'the West Ham way' - a brand of football based around an attacking and entertaining approach.

But the Hammers showed the battling qualities Bilic was renowned for during his spell as a defender with the club from 1996 to 1997.

Reece Oxford, who became his side's youngest-ever Premier League player at the age of 16 years and 237 days, epitomised West Ham's fighting spirit, screening his defence superbly from midfield.

A star in the making: Young English defender Reece Oxford, aged 16, had the game's highest passing accuracy (95%), lost possession just once and made two blocks and three interceptions

Newcastle United 2-2 Southampton

Cissé 42′ Wijnaldum 48′..................................... Pellè 24′ Long 79′

At St James' Park. Att: 49,019

No-nonsense striker Shane Long rises to equalise for Southampton, his sixth goal for the Saints

Southampton earned a point at Newcastle thanks to substitute Shane Long's late goal.

Graziano Pelle met Cedric Soares' long ball to head Saints into an early lead, before Papiss Cisse equalised by chesting in a deflected cross.

New £14.5m signing Georginio Wijnaldum then scored a powerful header on his Premier League debut to give Newcastle the lead early in the second half.

But Long struck 10 minutes from time, heading in a Dusan Tadic cross.

Southampton forward Sadio Mane had two chances to win the match in injury time. First he saw an effort blocked by Jack Colback, before another shot drifted inches wide of the post.

Saints manager Ronald Koeman followed the match from home as he recovered from an operation on his Achilles tendon, while brother and assistant manager Erwin gave a first Premier League start in 491 days to striker Jay Rodriguez.

Rodriguez's return

Newcastle new boy Aleksandar Mitrovic, who came as a substitute after 75 minutes, was shown a yellow card for a foul just 12 seconds into his Premier League debut

England striker Jay Rodriguez was making his first Premier League start in 16 months.

The 26-year-old ruptured his anterior cruciate knee ligament in April 2014 , only making his competitive return in the Europa League qualifying match against Dutch side Vitesse on Thursday.

His lack of match action showed and he was replaced by Long on 65 minutes after just one shot, which was off target.

Soares, the Portugal international signed for £3.6m from Sporting Lisbon, impressed on his debut, showing plenty of endeavour going forward and supplying a deep cross for Pelle's goal.

His replacement Cuco Martina became only the second player from the Caribbean nation of Curaçao to play in the Premier League after West Brom's Shelton Martis in 2009.

Stoke City 0-1 Liverpool

...................................................................Coutinho 86′

At the Britannia Stadium. Att: 27,654

Stoke City thrashed Liverpool 6-1 on the last day of last season in what was Steven Gerrard's last game for Liverpool, but Liverpool got revenge yesterday (above)

Watch Coutinho's beautiful long-range strike:

Philippe Coutinho's stunning long-range strike gave Liverpool a late victory over Stoke on the opening weekend.

The match was a lacklustre Premier League encounter until the Brazilian's magic four minutes from the end.

Former Liverpool man Glen Johnson could have put his new side in front in the first half, but skewed his shot over the bar from 12 yards out.

Charlie Adam's long-range free-kick almost sneaked in at the back post but was pushed away by Simon Mignolet.

These two sides met on the final day of last season, when Stoke's 6-1 win was Liverpool's heaviest defeat since 1963.

It meant Mark Hughes' side ended the campaign with 54 points, their highest total in the top flight.

New season, new problems

Despite last season's embarrassing result, Liverpool's owners backed Brendan Rodgers and kept him as manager, so have things improved?

Although victorious this time round, Liverpool have work to do on how to bed together their attacking players.

Christian Benteke touched the ball just five times in the penalty area, and will need to improve as he faces competition from substitute Roberto Firmino - who had a run out in the last 15 minutes - and Danny Ings. Daniel Sturridge will add to the fight for places when he returns from injury next month.

Meanwhile, Stoke are an uncompromising outfit under Mark Hughes, with new boys Ibrahim Afellay and Marco van Ginkel giving extra class to a side who were undone by a special strike.

Ibrahim impresses and the Christian conundrum

Afellay was brought in on a free transfer from Barcelona and looks to be a player who will excite the Britannia Stadium crowd. His neat footwork was generously applauded by the fans, while his composure on the ball and attacking prowess will give Stoke extra incentive in the final third.

Liverpool full-backs Nathaniel Clyne and 18-year-old Joe Gomez both impressed, while the experienced James Milner and Stoke's on-loan Van Ginkel showed they are not afraid to scrap in midfield, but also looked assured in possession.

History was made last night as a Premier League match was played on a Friday night for the first time ever. The match between Aston Villa and Manchester United at Villa Park in Birmingham was originally billed as Sky’s Saturday Night Football fixture, but was rescheduled over policing concerns due to a planned protest by the English Defence League heroes in Walsall town centre, ten miles away, the same day.

United's victory lifted them to the top of the Premier League table for the first time since August 2013 - although they've only played two matches and 18 teams have a game in hand over them.

United have won their two opening matches of this season's Premier League 1-0, but they were lacklustre in both games, showing they are no longer the great force they once were in English football now that the great Sir Alex has retired.

Fallen giants: Manchester United have won their opening two games but they were, once again, far from impressive

By Timothy Abraham
BBC Sport
14 August 2015

Manchester United maintained their impressive record at Villa Park as they beat Aston Villa thanks to Adnan Januzaj's first-half strike.

Januzaj, who made a rare start having been linked with a loan move away, scored as United took their unbeaten run at the ground to 20 league matches going back to 1995.

The winger put United ahead when he got on the end of Juan Mata's incisive pass and finished from close range.

Villa rarely threatened as the Red Devils kept a second clean sheet.

The victory lifted United to the top of the Premier League table for the first time since August 2013.

Memphis Depay had a chance to increase the margin of victory after the break when he was slipped in by Mata, but could only curl his shot past the post.

Villa only sporadically put the United defence under pressure with forward Gabby Agbonlahor's header from a corner the best chance that the home side could muster.

Striker Wayne Rooney was supposed to be the main man up front this season but the early signs have been a little worrying for United.

As in the opening game against Tottenham the United and England skipper struggled to make an impact leading the line.

Chris Smalling put in a commanding performance as he helped United secure back-to-back clean sheets

And it was not until injury time that he touched the ball in the opposition penalty area, as demonstrated in this graphic.

Manchester United manager Van Gaal said before the season started that he may not buy another striker because Rooney could carry the club's goalscoring burden.

The player himself has set a target of 20 goals in this campaign. but United have only managed three shots on target in two games.

Given Rooney's lack of impact against Villa, Van Gaal may well have to revise his thinking before the transfer window closes.

Aston Villa's lack of goals still a worry

Villa sold striker Christian Benteke to Liverpool for £32.5m this summer and they looked poorer for the striker's absence against United.

Time well tell if two of the players Villa manager Tim Sherwood signed to replace him - Jordan Ayew and Rudy Gestede - can fill the powerful Belgium international's boots in attack.

"The boys gave everything for the cause but we didn't carry enough attacking threat," Sherwood said.

"The attacking force wasn't there. It may be down to personnel missing who might give us a little cutting edge."

Some people call it the EPL - the English Premier League - so that's why I thought you were calling it the British Premier League when you said BPL.

Nah. I watched highlights of the clash of the titans between Manchester City and Chelsea on Sunday night. Chelsea lost 3-0. I think it's only the second time that the reigning English champions have won neither of their two opening Premier League matches - the other time was Manchester United drawing against Reading and Portsmouth in their opening two matches in the 2007-08 season - and it's the first time since season 1998-99 that Chelsea have failed to win either of their opening two Premier League games.

I'm no really a big fan of Bundesliga. It's usually just a one-horse race with Bayern Munich winning the title nearly every season. They've won the Bundesliga title seven of the last ten seasons. It's even less competitive than La Liga, which is just a two-horse race between Real Madrid and Barcelona every season.

Champions Chelsea got their first win of the season yesterday. 3-2 against West Brom. Had they lost it would have been their worst start to a season since 1993.

Meanwhile, new boys Bournemouth got their first EVER Premier League win on Saturday with a 4-3 away victory against West Ham United, in what is West Ham's last season at the Boleyn Ground before they move into the Olympic Stadium at the end of the season.

I'm looking forward to Arsenal vs Liverpool tonight. If Liverpool win they'll join Manchester City at the top of the table and it'll be Arsenal's worse start to a season since 1949 (they would have played three, won one, lost two). Arsenal have, however, lost just one of their last 15 Premier League home matches against Liverpool.
