Most English football fans would far rather their club win the Premier League than England win the World Cup.

Where's your evidence for that? For most English football fans, it's definitely club before country.

Personally, I think England will win the Qatar World Cup in 2022.

True. And you probably think that means something. But the fact remains that soccer is a minor sport in the U.S., and the serious athletic talent goes to other sports.

Your failure to comprehend this is, alas, unsurprising.

And nobody in the US really gives a bleep. Once boys reach the age to play football and baseball the soccer cleats are given to the neighbor with younger kids.

And lucky for you because the US would dominate the sport like our US Women do.

The FA Cup, the Champions League and the European Championships are way better than the World Cup.
