FYI, CFL fans..............the Eastern Semi-final between Edmonton and Toronto is just about to get underway. Get your cheer gear on and let's go! I'm with the Argos in this one. Go, Rickie, Go!

And don't go away once this one is over as the Really important ;-) game follows quickly after when the Stamps welcome the Riders to McMahon for the Western Semi. Of course, you all know where my heart lies.

GO, RIDERS, GO!

We're going to the Western Final. Should be fun. Riders and/or Stamps will be a tough game.

31 to 7 at half-time for the Argos. Rock on Rickie. He kept and ran into the end zone for a TD to end the 2nd quarter. Go Argos!

When the Riders win, AB is out of the CFL for the year.

That's very true, petros.

Matt Nicols just took a bad hit to his previously injured knee and is down on the field. Med staff was on the field immediately.
The hit was clean. He's being taken off the field now on the med cart. The entire team came out to pat him on the back.

Hopefully Durant has healed properly and runs forward to gain yards instead of running 30yds sideways to avoid getting hit.

I am so with you on that, petros..........we really need Darian to run at every good opportunity cause the Stamps will have him in their radar on every play. I don`t want to see any dropsy either. It would also be nice if we could keep up our title of the least penalized team in the CFL...........will go a long way to keeping points off the board for the opposition.

This year, that would be Getzlaff's dept. I think he's dropped more passes than anyone else in the league.

He did have an inordinate amount of them..........I found myself yelling at the TV set in sheer frustration during some games.

Well, 1 down - 1 to go, petros. Argos have this well in hand - leading 35 to 18 with 2:26 left.

As I didn`t have a stake in this game, I cheered for TO being that they are the home town team.

Oops! scratch that score - my little hero Chad Kackert just danced his way into the end zone for another major. Score now 42 to 18.

Another reason I pulled for a TO win is because they are hosting the Cup - nice to see the home town fans with a real stake in the game.

Okay............scratch previous score........the Esks just snuck one it with :29 secs left in the game. Score now: 35 to 26 (they got the 2-pt convert too).

So much for Rickie being past his prime.

Arghhhhhhh! FPS...........45+ yards in penalties!!!!!!!! Way to go defence..........as if Jon needs any help. Sheesh!

What..........we would do without Weston...........the guy is pure heart. ROCK ON WESTON.......YOU GO GUY!

Oh my.........oh my..........hate to say it but that was an outstanding play by Bennett...........I have never ever seen that play before. Cute way of getting 2 pts..........actually wouldn't mind seeing more of that..........not against us though. ;-) Then of course, Rene Paredes - oh he of the 93% completion rate - adds 3 more on a 50 yarder. So the Riders are going into half-time, down by 3pts. Considering how they played the major part of the first two quarters, I say things aren't looking too bad.

19 to 13 Calgary at the half.

Well it was a helluva of a finish.................next year..........:-(

Thank you Riders .............for an entertaining season of football. Another year under Cory, and we'll back better than ever. Rock on Riders.

Take heart. Maybe some day the Riders will make it to the Grey Cup game as many times as my Bombers have won it.

could someone explain the rule giving a team 2 points for running the ball down field into touchdown
territory, but it isn't a touchdown, after blocking an attempted conversion.

is it because it is too automatic that a touchdown will happen on that particular kind of block, because the other team isn't in any position to defend that
when it happens.

It's because it's a point (or 2) after attempt. No touchdowns are given to either offense or defense. I believe the rule changed years ago when the ball was simply dead on a blocked conversion attempt, to add more opportunity for the defense to make a play of their own.
