It's good the way it happened tonight. We want those Habs as tuckered out as possible when they come up against the Canucks in another month.:lol::lol:

Ah, I see where you are going with this.:lol::lol:

If they don't get some rest and re-group, the Canucks will be facing the Penguins, then watch out! Of course, this is assuming that they (Canucks) can get by the Blackhawks. From what I have been hearing they could have their hands doing that.:lol::lol::lol:

Go, Penguins, Go.

Savard scores go-ahead goal in OT and Bruins take the first game 5 to 4. Good game in my opinion. Phillies goalie was pretty darn good.

so glad savard scored, he has had a bad time over the past
two months ever since the 'little coward' mat cooke blind sided
him with a horrible head shot, which left savard with a
concussion till he was given clearance to play this game.

It will be interesting if boston play pittsburgh in the
conference final, mat cooke again, would love to see someone
blind side him, he has it coming, although a couple of
players have called him out to 'fight', which he dreads,
as he is the 'hit em when their not lookin', type, then run and
hide behind the linesman/referee, we've seen this behavior
for years in vancouver, sure glad he's gone.

He knocked markov out of the game last night, very hard hit,
although it was deemed 'legal', too bad, would love to see
him get a suspension, which he should have had before, and
didn't get, he got off scott free from that hit on savard.

From what I heard today, Markov is out for awhile. Big loss to the Habs.

That is the type of play that kept me away from the game for so long. Legal or not, it is a dirty play and I too hope someone cleans Cooke's clock and quickly. Penguin or not, this type of player does nothing to enhance the overall play of the game, IMHO.

Coming back from a concussion, I thought Savard was a true player, tallola. So glad he scored too.

Only an hour away from the second game for the Habs and Pens, filling the hour by watching the 2010 CFL draft. Sask got top pick due to an overnight trade with TO.

Cooke your days are numbered, I sincerely hope - the team doesn't need a**holes like you.

Go, Penguins, Go.

Habs take 2 to 1 lead early in the second period. Cammalari gets the goal during a power play for Habs.

Halak seems to be holding his own so far.

Canadians looking stronger in the second period than they did in the first.

Come on Pens.

Happy to oblige, Bart. :smile::smile:

Habs still ahead by a point with just over 4 minutes left in the second period. Halak has stopped some decent shots so far.
thanks , tho I am a habs fan ...which means I tend to swear alot at them hahaha
but also a Crosby fan so I am torn

I find myself torn too, simply because I was so impressed with Halak (as were millions of others) during the series with Washington. Sometimes I find myself cheering for him when he stops a good shot - just can't help myself.

Halak holds off the Pens to end the second period with the Habs still up by one goal. Montreal got a penalty with only seconds left in the period.

Geez, Pens pull up your hockey socks and lets get some goals!!!!!

I do too.

Crosby and Malkin are not playing up to snuff though it pains me to say so. They have to get their mojo going or the Habs may take this game.
Don't count the Penns out, their power play hurt the habs badly last game

Oh I am not about to do that, Bart, I know too well how the Pens can come roaring back and am hoping that is just what happens in the third period.

Habs are playing a pretty clean game so far, but then so are the Pens. Nice to watch a game that isn't full of penalties. I cheer louder for goals scored when it is 5 on 5.

Go, Pens, Go.

well look on the bright side if the Penns lose , theres one more game to go in the series ;)

:?: Uh, if the Pens lose, the series will be tied 1 - 1, right. That still leaves what five more games in which the Pens will most certainly annihilate the Habs.:lol::lol::lol:

Oh phooie, the habs held on through the Pens power play.

Oh goodie, the Pens just got another power play! Come on Pens.

don't you want the fun to last a full seven games ;)?

I am of mixed minds about that, Bart. Seeing how tired the Habs were after their seven game series, I am thinking that the shorter the series the better. After all when the Pens take it, as they will ;-);-), I want them to have lots of time to rest.

You have to proud of your Habs, their penaly killing is pretty awesome so far.

2010 Stanley Cup Predictions And Why

Toronto Maple leafs are in last place and I feel that they are the underdogs this season and may have a shot at the Stanley Cup in 2010.

The big question is if the captain can put some fight into players and if the coach can bring the best out of the players.

There is a lot of potential here and this new Toronto Maple Leafs can go all the way in 2010

My guess is the players will continue to receive high salaries paid for by the superstar industry.
