Fifteen British sailors and marines held captive for nearly two weeks in Iran arrived home Thursday, a day after the announcement of their release defused a confrontation between the two countries.

I've been thinking about this, and it makes Iran seem like nice guys. If our guys were trespassing, they've been lenient which is in the spirit of goodwill and very praiseworthy. If they weren't, they've shown they can end this kind of thing without fighting.

yes I am aware that it could be exactly as you describe. But if whenever we see something nice we cry "propaganda!" Then the world will always be violent and deadly.

So you don't believe by parading these guys in front of the camera, the forced admissions of guilt, being told to smile at Ahamadijie (whatever his name is) and say flattering things to him, being told to smile and wave at the camera, coupled with the Iranian "pardons as an Easter gift to the British people" was anything but propaganda?

maybe they were parading the soldiers because they wanted to be sure the rest of the world knew they were still alive so the USA didnt drop a nuke on them. As for the flattering things.... maybe they WERE well-treated?

I've said it before, there's no way we can know a damn thing about this stuff cos no-one's telling the truth
