Feds gave Bell Media $600 million a few years ago to do the same thing. Not sure what is up with that. Meanwhile cable DSL is $100 / month. Everyone getting rich while regular Joe just pays. Ford did promise $10 internet at one time.

IMO it is the free pass for banks to bend people over time and again on every variable possible that is responsible for the ridiculous state of the Canadian economy. To put a banker in charge would be like the time the RCMP hired the Russian guy.
