Ontario to fund more private clinic surgeries in bid to stabilize health-care system

I just thought it was funny in a Beaverton sort of way.

Ontario to fund more private clinic surgeries in bid to stabilize health-care system

I think he means that New Brunswick is a really small province. Speaking of New Brunswick ... https://www.thebeaverton.com/2018/05/we-ranked-the-provinces-and-tried-really-hard-not-to-put-new-brunswick-last/

There is no way it should be mandatory. If one wants to watch it, they should pay for it.

News anchor Lisa LaFlamme 'shocked' after CTV replaces her with Omar Sachedina

After her issues with Q107 she did quite a story of her perceptions of how women are treated in media. I have no reason to disbelieve her and I think the same applies here. Bell is trying very hard to put a different narrative out there but it sounds just like that ... a narrative.

Ontario to fund more private clinic surgeries in bid to stabilize health-care system

One model is that the government is more of an insurance provider paying all the bills but the services are all private and not owned by the government. I think this would cost more but would be a better system for the patients.

NDP MP wonders if we still need indoor ice rinks given climate impact - 'Is indoor skating ice even a necessity anymore?'

The real story above is the amount of money being wasted on stupid projects.

NDP MP wonders if we still need indoor ice rinks given climate impact - 'Is indoor skating ice even a necessity anymore?'

They could start with the curling rinks and figure skating rinks. Those aren't real sports.

MANDEL: Court won't force girl to vaccinate against her will

This has less to do with vaccines and about parental rights or not.

Ontario to fund more private clinic surgeries in bid to stabilize health-care system

From what I understand the Ontario government is paying for treatment at private clinics. Not officially 2-tier. Most provinces have struggles with health care since the 1990s when a certain federal finance minister balanced the federal budget by chopping transfer payments to the provinces for...

Donald Trump Announces 2016 White House Bid

Every interview of voters I have seen on the Wyoming primary has always been talking about Trump. Either it is or the media wants to make it seem that it is.

Donald Trump Announces 2016 White House Bid

I have seen several Wyomic voters interviewed and they all say the same thing. They like Trump. They want their representative to like Trump too. In 2020 I think I heard that Wyoming had one of the highest turnouts for Trump of any state. Bottom line it is their vote and they cast it.

Latest Alberta 338 poll shows the NDP and UPC pretty much neck and neck.

It's a good answer to a pollster if you are upset with the government. But when it comes to the ballot different story.

Chris Sankey: Why, as an Indigenous-Canadian, I will be voting Conservative in the next election

Yes, this idea of viewing history through the eyes of 2022 and judging accordingly is bull. I think Residential Schools were created with the best intentions of that time but implemented poorly. Again the key words are "of that time".

Irreparable harm was incurred by visitation bans in long-term-care homes and must never be repeated

Common sense was rarely applied to any situation. It was always brute force by the book. My wife was diagnosed with brain cancer in May 2020 and she did all her treatments alone as I was not allowed to visit. I will never forgive St. Michaels Hospital for it's refusal to bend the policy at all.

Alec Baldwin fired shot that killed one, wounded another on film set

The only other option is arrogance and/or incompetence. Possible but less likely.

Alec Baldwin fired shot that killed one, wounded another on film set

But each of those steps involves $$$ spent off the bottom line. He went cheap, got burned and now is trying to pretend that his decisions to go cheap were not the root of it.

News anchor Lisa LaFlamme 'shocked' after CTV replaces her with Omar Sachedina

CTV does not want and old woman delivering the news. It re-enforces the perception (and I believe correct one) that the news is just a show. The time where the anchor was trusted and experienced are long gone. They are talking heads reading the teleprompter now. They should be able to make one...

Alec Baldwin fired shot that killed one, wounded another on film set

And while he may be able to shirk responsibility on a personal (actor) level, as the producer of the movie, the responsibility for making sure the gun was safe falls back on him. He should have made sure he had the proper people and protocols in place.
