Well, today is the Liberal/NDP Non-Coalition Coalition Budget Day!

Not sure if Chrystia Freeland looks like she’s ready to rob a bank or deliver a budget here but it’s the cover pic for a Globe & Mail paywalled story on the upcoming budget today:

Fuck Joe Biden and anyone who voted for him

A report Tuesday that the Biden administration is in the early stages of looking for ways to increase oil imports from Canada was good news for Canadian oil and gas producers gathered virtually to discuss investment in the sector. Producers welcomed the Wall Street Journal report that U.S...

Fuck Joe Biden and anyone who voted for him

U.S. President Joe Biden’s brain must be an irony-free zone. Having killed the Keystone XL pipeline on his first day in office on Jan. 20, 2021, he’s now looking for ways to increase shipments of Canadian oil to the U.S.. According to a report in the Wall Street Journal Tuesday, “Biden...

    Bill’s C-10 & C-11. If we aren’t talking about it already, shouldn’t we be?

The Liberals are now trying to revive their incredibly controversial Internet legislation bill. It was previously known as Bill C-10, now it’s Bill C-11. There was great uproar that the government was planning to censor Canadians’ social media. While the government denied this, experts...

Trudeau Is Going To Bury Us In Debt

This week, Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland will table the 2022 federal budget, which will position Canada for a post-pandemic world and set the tone for the country’s next decade –– or at least until 2026, should the recent Liberal-NDP deal stay intact. While all federal budgets are...

Liberal MPs say Trudeau has pushed party 'ultra left' with NDP deal

Which one is which again? Question Period in the House of Commons is the longest running farce in Canadian history but the slapstick hit new highs this week when NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh questioned Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the contents of the impending budget. Will the government...

    Bill’s C-10 & C-11. If we aren’t talking about it already, shouldn’t we be?

There’s the punchline. Currently it’s only the Liberals wanting this (Sorry, I guess I mean the Liberal/NDP non-Coalition cartel), but once it exists….whomever is in power can use it as a club against those that don’t think or believe or dare to say what isn’t acceptable to the government of the...

    Bill’s C-10 & C-11. If we aren’t talking about it already, shouldn’t we be?

The Liberal government has re-tabled its controversial broadcasting bill, bringing back an exemption for user generated content, whose removal from the legislation previously drew outrage over free speech concerns. In the new version of the bill, C-10 in the last parliament, now dubbed the...

    Bill’s C-10 & C-11. If we aren’t talking about it already, shouldn’t we be?

This has to start somewhere, so might as well start with a Wiki summary of C-11 (as C-10 got squashed when the last election got called): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_Streaming_Act The Online Streaming Act (Bill C-11) is a proposed Canadian federal legislation. It was first introduced...

Canada PLANS increased cuts to carbon emissions to 40% by 2030

Now, I bought the above pick up for $900… Nine Years Ago…. As a temporary fill-in between vehicles (hit a porcupine with a PT Cruiser in a rainstorm at about 5:30am one morning commuting to a gravel pit). 9 years later, with basic maintenance, it just won’t quit. I googled, & there’s no such...

Canada PLANS increased cuts to carbon emissions to 40% by 2030

I was home for about 5 minutes & then stuff happened, but here’s the rest of the earlier punchline: I supposedly have a 70L tank, and it was just touching the bottom side of 1/4…& $92 later it was full. Our little SUV also has a 70L tank. Tonight Between posts, aside from dealing with two...

Canada PLANS increased cuts to carbon emissions to 40% by 2030

I know the supply chain for oil & refining is complex….but in my case, not so much. I live in Regina where we have a Co-op Heavy Oil Upgrader, & I stopped at a Co-op that gets its refined gasoline from the Upgrader locally…& I still had a 1/4 tank.
