We rarely if ever get a referendum and the few times we have they have been non binding . Kind of defeats the purpose .

I kind of like what I see in State and municipal governments use of referendum on tax issues . I imagine it hand cuffs government most of the time . Can’t say much other then it being held up as a reason against referendum when the topic is brought up around here .
