Two years into the Trudeau 2.0 Minority Term, which day will Justin call the election that only he wants?

Back in the good ol' days of the Cold War, a Soviet doctor was bragging to an American doctor at an international medical conference. The American doctor was listening with amused scepticism to the Soviet doctor's accounts of the superiority of Soviet medicine when the the Soviet doctor said...

Tipping - Is it out of control?

When you're picking up, you're tipping the staff of the restaurant. Or possibly the management/owners. Tip or don't, in the amount you wish.

    Gun Control is Completely Useless.

Could be. I freely admit I'm damned if I can see a difference between the Liberals and the NDP. I'm not Canadian. And you're not American.

I suppose the fact that the Klan feels the need to come up with disingenuous lies is progress of a sort. Day was they proclaimed their race hate proudly. "Segregation today, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever!" was a political rallying cry during my lifetime.

Wait. . . he's less than three days old and he's already seen a lot? Reminds me of the prisoner who spent 15 years slowly, carefully digging a tunnel to escape, and when the day finally came, he went through his tunnel and came up in. . . a children's playground. He was so overwhelmed by being...

Notorious child killer Paul Bernardo transferred to Quebec institution

You are proposing, and I quote. . . I don't know what "nothing" means to you, but to me it means nothing. No books. No videos. No deck of cards No company. No human contact at all. No sensory input beyond staring at a bare concrete wall. That's torture. By comparison, hanging is kindness.

Notorious child killer Paul Bernardo transferred to Quebec institution

The purpose of jails is fourfold. 1. It protects the innocent for a time from a person who has a demonstrated propensity to victimise the innocent. 2. The limitation on liberty is an undesirable consequence (negative reinforcement) to disincentivise the offender from re-offending. 3. The...

Notorious child killer Paul Bernardo transferred to Quebec institution

If he has no right to life, why not kill him? Torture (and what you propose is defined as torture) says more about the torturer than about his victim.
