Toronto Star: Canada’s economy is already starting to shrink — and that could mean a recession is looming, economists say

Supporting our Oil & Gas would help immensely not only for Canada but for Europe as well but Trudeau could care a less. No skin off of his back since we pay the freight for him.

Yes indeed! I don't like what Canada or the U.S. does sometimes as well. You're absolutely correct in stating that all countries have their issues.

    Bibi is back

I saw a documentary (or maybe it was one of the TV shows like 60 Minutes or something - it's been maybe 2 or 3 years ago) - anyway, a camera crew went throughout some of Palestinian communities (for lack of a better word) to ask the "common' people what they thought of Israel and almost to the...

    Roe v. Wade overturned?

My understanding is that whatever is NOT in the Constitution goes to the States to decide. Is that not correct?

    Roe v. Wade overturned?

Yes or people can get together to have laws changed. I'm not sure what is so difficult to understand. Abortions will still be available & if not in a particular State, there are ways to make changes. It's just that whatever each State decides, it's the people in those States that have the final...

Apparently rumor has it that the U.S. interfered with Brazil's election and the people are not allowed to question the results. The U.S is heading the same way too (so I heard).

LOL - there was testimony that the Feds were taking their information from the CBC! (sorry) I don't recall who made that statement, but apparently the Feds couldn't be bothered to go down to actually speak to those involved. BTW my comment was "tongue in cheek" due to the comment but of...

Former Ottawa police chief also stated that the convoy had "tension & that it was ready to explode" and it was not "family friendly". He obviously didn't bother to go down to find out for himself. Likely just listened to the CBC!

No it's their business & they can accept or reject your business. You can go to another shop. If enough people reject the initial business it will go broke. Easy peasy! If feelings get hurt, c'est la vie! 😢

B.C. drought by the numbers: Vancouver, Victoria saw less than 10% of average rainfall since July

Of course governments are responsible for things. I was specifically referring to the things government need not control cuz it's our responsibility. I don't want government to tell me what to do, say or go. There will always be exceptions (like evacuating due to flooding).
