I’m really glad I departed the forest industry 20 years ago. I still miss it, but financially, heavy construction is more rewarding. I should have retired 3 years ago ago, but the 50% increase in the cost of living due to COVID kind of made living off 1 pension unviable. Survive, maybe,but not live.
