I like the CFL overtime much better than the NFL overtime. The origin of it comes from US college football. It is ultimately fair. Each team gets equal tries to score. Yes, traffic disruptions may inconvenience businesses but most also deliver people to the the event which will spend some money as well. In my mind these factors are likely a wash. This leaves the money the government sunk into it in the first place as the only factor.
