    Yorkshire Pudding

I found this recipe on the web almost a year ago and it hasn't let me down once. Btw, the Yorkshire I had in GB was made in a cake pan that must have had an inch of fat in it when the batter was poured in. When you cut a piece of it you had to hold it over the pan to catch the drips of fat...

    Yorkshire Pudding

I have it on good authority that angels come and take the fat away.....;-) Karrie, if you have a new muffin pan that hasn't been used for anything but Yorkshire Pudding and you brush a bit of the fat up the sides of the muffin cups you can get away with one and a half teaspoons. If you...

    Yorkshire Pudding

Yorkshire pudding is to roast beef and gravy, as bacon is to eggs. Over the years I've made Yorkshire pudding that turned out like little, floury hockey pucks. On the rare occasion the Yorkshire pudding turned out right, I didn't know why it did. The following recipe is guaranteed to give...

    Pancakes for breakfast....or whatever

This recipe reminds me of my Pumpkin pie. Pumpkin pie can be made with pumpkin as well as pureed, well cooked carrots, or yams, or sweet potato, or just about any kind of squash and nobody will know the difference. I'm sure your yam pancakes could be made with just about any of the things I...

How many here have beef fondue occasionally?

Jenn we drag our oil fondue out on New Years Eve and it usually gathers dust for the rest of the year. We took it out and fired it up a few days ago and quite enjoyed it. It's the only meal that keeps us at the table for an hour and a half....Very relaxing..;-)

How many here have beef fondue occasionally?

That is almost exactly the way we handled it. By the time our kids were about ten or eleven years old they were cooking their own. Both our children are now married and have kids of their own.

How many here have beef fondue occasionally?

Last night was the first time we tried seafood. We did big tiger prawns and they were great. I see in some of the seafood recipes you can use swordfish and salmon and prawns...Whole new world out there....

How many here have beef fondue occasionally?

We finally had fondue last night. We used beef tenderloin, fresh large mushrooms, and large, raw tiger prawns. We also had a salad, and fresh, homemade bread, as well as a nice bottle of Cabernet Souvignon. The real treat with fondue is that the meal is very leisurely and relaxing and takes...

    Food for thought!!

I do an original chilli recipe that I brought back from a trip to texas where I happened onto a Chilli Cook-off that was going on in a park in Brownsville. I thought this was the best chilli there. Here is the recipe: 3 pounds of well marbled beef blade steak cut into bite sized chunks. 2...
