Ahh A Sunbeam Tiger Who would look at a pretty little car like that and guess it had an old flat head Ford V-8 in it.

I've read most of his books. For some reason I haven't read Sea of Slaughter or The Regiment but I will. I thought Mowat used a bit of poetic licence in NeverCry Wolf but it was enjoyable to read

Sorry...Obviously I should have written a hundred and fifty thousand pounds As far as the ordinary Plymouth Barracudas go. Aren't most of them rusted to dust by now..

A few short years ago there was a movie called "Never cry Wolf" about a naturalist who goes up north to study wolves. During the movie the hero sees the alpha wolf marking his territory and he decides to mark his own. I think he said it took 23 pots of tea to get enough juice to mark about the...

Gilbert these cars are away out of my price range. If you can find an Astin Martin Lagonda, you are likely to pay a hundred and fifty pounds or more. The TVR is a bit better but still pricey by my standards. On the other hand a mint condition Austin Healey 3000 will not be cheap either...

The Healy 3000, priced at just over $3000.00 was, without a doubt, the best crumpet collector on the face of the Earth. The GT-6 wasn't far behind. The Jaguar XKE was also in that category but it cost three times as much so it was a little out of my range at the time.

Yukon Jack you misunderstand almost every topic you enter. You have jumped in and slaged almost every topic and poster here at some point. Do me a favor and don't respond to my posts. I will not be responding to yours.

It's good to compare: In the following table there are listed some of the most sought after cars in the world. One stands out. The Lotus Elise is pretty close to matching the performance of all these cars but for a fraction of their price: Lotus Elise Model Comparison, Handling, Power

Jack....You haven't a clue. You never were young and nimble. Too many years of driving marshmallow suspended North American junk to appreciate a good handling car.

I was a British sports car nut for years. Of all the dozens of cars I have owned, these two are my favorites: They are a 1961 Austun Healey 3000,(top) and a 1969 Triumph GT-6+(bottom)

The two cars I have require almost no maintenance. I change the oil and filters every 4000 klicks and replace the transmission oil and fluids every 8000. Tires on the Miata seem to last about 60 to 70,000 km. The Camry tires last a little longer. I rotate them probably four times over the...

The AC Cobra's competition record became the scourge of Corvette and Ferrari drivers, and original AC Cobras built such a heritage that they are now very valuable collectibles. Over the years, an estimated 150 companies have produced AC Cobra replicas.

Former race driver and entrepreneur Carroll Shelby, has built a number of these cars for charity at one million dollars a copy. The Cobra was related in many ways to the Ford GT40 which won LeMans four or five years in a row. Btw there are several companies that will build you a Cobra for...

Hey I'm not rich but we did just doll out over seventy five hundred dollars for 300 feet of new cedar fencing. The least I could do is spring for a couple ten dollar spring hinges.

All I really need, is to just to close the friggin gate....I bought a pair of spring hinges for the gate and that should keep it closed. I made the gate four feet wide to make it easy to get a wheelbarrow through. I thought briefly about putting in a hook and eye to hold the gate open but...
