Ho lee lick! As if. Deadly.

Let me give you a hand with this story bro...

Its convoluted with a deepstate twist.

Saturday I get a message with a screenshot of facistbook post and a link to video of a fight, horrific screams lesding to a hand laying in the street. They lopped that fucker off with a machete.

As for the "deep state" angle, the fascistbook messanger message was edited, screenshot gone from my personal Android Gallery, Google Photos and history of the Chrome link are gone.

Poof!

5 minutes of the conversation are missing.

Only a small portion of.the videomade it to freedom on X and a hard to remove meme on fascistbook.

JustBins getting another honourable mention:
(YouTube & Regina police respond to backlash over weekly call-to-prayer trial)
If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear . That’s what they tell me .

I’m not religious and really don’t give a shit but I wish I would’ve known about this in advance this morning. Since our local pub closed a couple of years back (SerbianClub), and the Muslim, cultural society or whatever it is moved in, Friday lunch hour through suppertime traffic and parking is problematic.

This morning was something special though, and most of it had cleared out by lunchtime to roll downtown for this call a prayer…but this is the tail end at the end of my street at the lunch hour:

Before the road was closed and the sawhorses were up, I weave my way through this to get to work this morning. For Pete, this is 12th and Atkinson. The neighbourhood is packed tonight & parking is fierce, but I’m at home so I don’t care anymore.

(YouTube & Regina police say downtown call to prayer complies with noise bylaws)

Apparently, there are free cell phone apps for this. No controversy, which I guess is kinda controversial by itself.

What are the church bells saying? Keep in mind this is coming from the non-religious camp.
They are saying "Church is on come pray". What does Islamic call to prayer say?

Similarities: Both serve as public auditory signals to gather the faithful for worship and mark sacred times in the day or week. They are important parts of the soundscape in many Muslim-majority and Christian-majority communities respectively.

In some places with mixed populations, you might hear both Adhan and church bells in the same city, creating a distinctive cultural layering. The Adhan emphasizes verbal declaration of belief, while bells rely on the symbolic power of sound itself.

Do Gurdwaras freak you out too?
1784558650769.jpegI’m not freaked out by any of this. As long as nobody’s killing in the name of their God, or intentionally inconveniencing or inflicting their religion upon others, right down to the Jehovah witnesses, then I just don’t really care. It is conversation worthy though.

Annoying shit like not being able to shop on Sundays which was and generally still is a religiously imposed feature of cmmerce. We've come a long way in the past 50 years.
