These White House and Capitol souvenirs photographed recently at Reagan International Airport – just a 10-minute drive from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. – clearly indicate they were made in China showing U.S. President Donald Trump’s America has its own trade arrangements with the communist country as well.

As U.S. President Donald Trump rails about Canada’s trade agreement with the communists, “Made in China” White House souvenirs are sold in American gift shops.
Many items on the shelves are made in China – part of the annual $600-billion trade agreement Trump himself signed with Chinese Xi Jinping in October 2025.
Now, as Trump warns Canada’s “general way of life” could be affected by signing a Chinese trade deal, these Chinese-made collectibles of the White House illustrate hypocrisy and raise a valid question.
Why is it that American businesses can sell Americana manufactured in China but its not okay for Canada to do the same?

At the Reagan National Airport gift shop just 15 minutes from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., souvenir models of The White House, The Capitol or the American seal are clearly marked “Made in China.”
It’s a ‘do as I say, not as I do,’ double standard.

“If Governor Carney thinks he is going to make Canada a ‘Drop Off Port’ for China to send goods and products into the United States, he is sorely mistaken,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social.
But Canada didn’t drop those Chinese souvenirs off in Washington.
“If Canada makes a deal with China, it will immediately be hit with a 100% Tariff against all Canadian goods and products coming into the U.S.A,” Trump said.
Will American importers also be slapped with a 100% tariff?
Trump on X wrote: “The last thing the world needs is to have China take over Canada. It’s NOT going to happen, or even come close to happening.”
But yet, “Made in China” souvenirs of White House miniatures are being sold in Washington D.C.
