Hate it every year when the CFL sticks it's tail between it's legs and bails on the schedule to accommodate the start of the NFL season. Of course TSN is the driver because they are sure we all live and die for the NFL.

Next week we have a CFL triple header Saturday for anyone that want to spend an early September day sitting in front of the tv. Makes it hard to follow the league which is terrible marketing imo.

Winnipeg/Brandon relatives have our spare rooms and couches booked.

The Classic is better than time and a half and a tank full of gas.

Hosting isn't cheap. Manitoba's have hollow legs and poor geographic capacities.

You'll have to slice the ham thin.

Looks like Ryan Hunter will be back this week for the Argos which should give a morale boost as it was earlier thought he was gone for the year due to his scooter incident. Argos at +5.5 and paying 2.75 to win are tempting bets. A better gamble might be taking the over of 56.5 points. I expect Bo Levi to come out throwing. Both defenses have struggled.

Seeing Winnipeg and Edmonton are 3.5 point underdogs and also paying good odds to win.

Big question in Calgary is will V.A. play?

Almost thinking the Bombers might have something for the Riders and expect a close game in Regina. Sounds like Trevor Harris is good to go as well although I recommend he stop boasting about the top fifty hits he has taken. Possible Nic Demski is out for Winnipeg with Dalton Schoen back after 18 months or so. Kyran Moore who they just signed would help as well but probably needs more time. Maybe as a returner. Would be nice if it wasn't super windy.

Looked like a fun time in Regina Sunday with a full stadium for the LDC. Kudos to those in the stands who did their part especially in the second half when the liquor really kicked in. Riders won ugly once again but got the 2 points. Good chance they win the rematch.

Game of the year so far in Hamilton that would have been well worth the price of a ticket on the Go Train. Arbuckle is the man although they were lucky to win and a nice way to go into a bye. Big payday also for those who bet Toronto to win and got as high as 2.9 just before the game. I took the over and settled for lesser odds. Hamilton is not as bad as a 4 game losing streak would indicate imo.

Elks hopes fading away with 2 more against the Stamps. Miracle of miracles they win next week but who knows. Maybe they give Tre Ford some time to remind everyone he is not the guy.

It sounded like fun too. I'm about 1km from the stadium. I know the outcome of a play about 15-20sec before the TV.
