I like Flair. No fucking around and a well maintained fleet. West Jet went to shit.
Seems like. We had to fly Flair to Kitamat when we were building the new smelter. Didn't think much of them. Pussy pilots. Wouldn't land in Nanaimo because the gliders fly that day. Dropped us in Pr. Rupert once because of fog at Terrace, although every other plane managed to land in Terrace that day. After that Coast mountain got a Dash 7 for the island. That worked much better.
Flair has a ton of petty charges. Even water costs money on the plane. Had to be at YVR 3 hrs before flight time. So I was, but there was no staff at their counter.

The US dollar index, which measures the dollar’s strength against six foreign currencies, slumped 1% to its lowest level in more than three years.

The above is before China starts dumping T-Bills also.

China was also warned not to defend itself also, etc…🤫
Governments sell bonds - essentially an IOU - to raise money for public spending and in return they pay interest. Recently, in an extremely rare move the rate the US government had to pay on its bonds rose sharply, while the price of bonds themselves fell.

Pussy pilots? No. Gliders dont have to file a flight plan or itinerary unless they go beyond 25km. That means they can be anywhere at any altitude within that 25km. 737s arent exactly a sport plane to dodge gliders they can't see with a limited cockpit view as do regional planes who would have been diverted too. Nanaimo airport fucked up.

Terrace didn't get ILS until after the smelter was completed and you were gone. It would be retarded to land in heavy fog with a 737-700 .I'm calling bullshit on other planes not having a problem landing. Relying on peto tubes that use barometric pressure which can be off by 20m is insane If you can't see, you cant see regardless the size of the plane with or without ground radar that has its limitations in fog.

You can't afford $3 for a water especially after getting free checked bag on a super cheap fare. You can get the same cheap fare with West Jet but youre paying $59 for a checked bag that is 20X the price of a water. West Jet will give you a 6oz cup of water and a cookie for free. Big deal.

Were you flying to Botswana to be 3 hours early? What did you need the desk for? Everything is online except the baggage tags which takes a minute to print, place on your bags and waddle to the bag drop. An hour and 20 mins is all you needed since the bag drop cut off is an hour prior.

Backed by the American dollar that’s backed by IOU’s, so what would it take to make that unsteady? Alienating the globe, then singling out a nation that plans out policy over generations, who happens to hold about a trillion dollars of UD debt?

This while Trump must’ve eat something spicy over Easter…& took his phone into the bathroom in the night….’cuz steady…

No planes were diverted. Dash 7s and whatever else flies into Nanaimo were landing. Just Flair refused to go there. SUnday is the regular day for gliders.

Every other flight into Terrace that day made it.

Edmonton. That is what it said on the ticket to get the boarding pass. I would have had to be in crazytown about that time anyway because of ferry times. Just would not have to be at the airport. Taking the Hullo ferry makes it super easy. About a 3 block walk to the tunnel and the subway goes direct to the airport.

Is China acting alone in de-dollarization? BRICS and eCNY are an imagined threat that hasn't been in the works for 10 years? Mark Carney never made a statement aboot supporting China as it becomes the new global reserve that China states 2040 is their goal. Its not a financial attack on the USA and there no need to take drastic measures because. It's all aboot taking a ring of fire shit is it?

I’m not arguing that, I’m saying Trump is unhinged.

Unhinged because the US is under attack and nobody did anything? If the USD loses status as the global reserve currency they will be dirt poor and no way to support the military or social programs. D U N dun.
Unhinged as he starts off trying to rally people around him by attacking everybody (except Russia and Belarus) with threats of tariffs, annexation to a select handful, etc…& generally that’s not how you win over friends and allies to your cause to fighting China financially & selling your electronic dollar, but that’s just my opinion and I didn’t write a book called the art of the deal.

BRICS has expanded significantly, with over 30 countries expressing interest in joining. While many countries have expressed interest, the formal expansion of BRICS has included new members beyond the original five. In addition to the original five members (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa), four new members (Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates) joined in 2024. Indonesia also became the tenth member in January 2025,

Russia and Belarus are sanctioned there are no imports to tariff.

eCNY goes beyond BRICS

China maintains 16 Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with its trade and investment partners, and is negotiating or implementing an additional eight FTAs. China's FTA partners are ASEAN, Singapore, Pakistan, New Zealand, Chile, Peru, Costa Rica, Iceland, Switzerland, Maldives, Georgia, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.

TPP countries.

Maybe it’s just a personality conflict that I would have with Trump personally. This last three months has rubbed me the wrong way. I don’t see it as a very good sales pitch on his part for somebody who has written a book called the art of the deal, & bombastic braggarts turn me off, & those that try throw around their weight around….well, nobody likes a bully when that bully’s weight is potentially out on thin ice. Who will Trump take down when he takes down America via his Ego?

I remember the financial ripples from ‘08/‘09 the last time America caught a cold.

But he could care less what you think . He is president of the United States not Canada and he is doing what he campaigned on . Funny that over 100 countries are at the negotiating table with the U.S. and we aren’t one of them .

Does he care about the average American though? Not the Musks or the Bezos, but the poor bastards just trying to get through things? I think another year of this with topsy-turvy flip-flops, & when average Americans get a financial sock in the jaw, they’ll appreciate Trumps 3am bowel movements with his cellphone as much as the rest of the globe.

The polls say he is more popular than ever at present if they can be believed .
