  • Okay. I can handle that.:)

That's okay. I will be going to my parents house after work to celebrate my dad's birthday, but I shouldn't be back too late(I work 5-8).
Get back in the kitchen and make me a sammich, woman!;) Yeah, that would go over like a lead balloon.:)
    Rhianna specifically, right?;)

Can you imagine if there was a time warp and women such as Hilary Clinton, Lady Gaga, Madonna, and other similar women were sucked back into the 40s and 50s? I wonder how they would go over?;) LOL!
Yeah, older media is funny that way. Reading through my Archie Digests, the attitudes and behaviour of the characters in the older stories (the ones from the 40s and 50s) are so different than what would be "acceptable" today. Not to mention the weird styles of hair and clothing. LOL!
I think so. Perhaps five. Either way, that is a heck of a lot of money! Time-Life and A&E always have jacked-up prices for some reason(The Prisoner was about $100 for 17 episodes!). Another reason for the price could be all the music rights they had to clear to place them on DVD. I think they successfully cleared over 302 songs! That is a LOT of music!

Anyhoo, I'll send a list with alternative (read: a heck of a lot cheaper, LOL!) gift ideas.;)

Speaking of The Prisoner, did you get a chance to watch any of it yet?:)
I figured the PM would do the trick.;)

Did you check out China Beach yet? LOL! Check it out at tvshowsatdvd.com .;) hehehe
LOL! I was thinking of Shakespeare In Love(which you had mentioned in a previous Wall message).

Well, I have to go now. I have to go to the bank, and then pick up my comics! I have tomorrow off, so I'll see you then. Unless you still happen to be online when I get back.:)
I didn't fall asleep during The Aviator. That's the one about Howard Hughes, the billionaire recluse.
I've never seen the movie. It just didn't look like it would be the kind of movie I'd enjoy. I take it you enjoyed it(the parts you weren't sleeping at)?;)
I was wondering what you were talking about with regards to Leonardo, but I just recalled that I gave you the wrong movie. I was thinking about last year's winner, The Artist. The Aviator didn't win Best Picture, did it? Or did it? I'm gonna Wiki it now.;)
They tend to vote in the "artsy" movies. Shakespeare In Love, The Aviator, that sort of thing. Even if it bombs in the theaters, it ends up with Best Picture! LOL! Now, Argo didn't exactly fall into that mould, as I think it did fairly well at the Box Office.
Well, I posted in that thread(half-Mod, half member). I made it more clear that the reason I wouldn't watch it (and not just due to the "erasure", as I called it earlier) is that it didn't really look like a movie I would be interested in watching. Of course, they tend to award Oscars to movies I don't have any interest in in the first place. Does that say a lot about their egos, or the fact that I have crappy taste in movies?;)
