  • We here in The Forest City have a moderately decent week to look forward to. Slightly above zero for the better part of the week.

I'll just be happy when I don't need to wear my boots anymore. I'm getting very, very tired of them!
While it was nice having an early spring last year, it had a large downside. When the temperature dipped again, and we got that nasty frost, many plants got hit with it, particularly the apple trees and others of that sort. My Butterfly Bush looked like it was pretty much toast (recently planted there), but even though it had only one or two small green leaves on it (the rest had shrivelled and died), it ended up recovering and grew a nice size.

Hopefully this spring has the warm weather come up gradually, without having that frost hit the plants again.
It's a start. Hopefully it will get better and better.

I saw a couple of cardinals, some starlings, a chickadee, and (I think) a couple of robins yesterday. So, spring (at least the spring-like weather) is just around the corner!
It's the satisfaction of a job well done.:)

I'm surprised you're still up! It's very late (or very early, depending on how you look at it)!
Oh no! I never thought that it wasn't tough. My brain would probably fry from all that number crunching!
I had a stretch where I worked 6 in a row. Of course a couple of the shifts were 5-8 so that made it a little easier.
I dread the 11-8 shift. Drags forever. I have one of them April 2nd. Nice for the paycheque, but loooong!
Of course, an hour seems longer sometimes when you're at work, especially when business is slow.
And when I was a kid, I thought people were exaggerating when they said time goes by faster the older you are. If only I had listened to them!
