The tail gaiter, the speedster, the no signal attitude, the goof who gets out of his car to teach the other driver a lesson when in fact any goof who get out of their car to settle the score are soooooooooooooooooooooooo stupid it makes me laugh. these are the idiots who give a bad label to humanity. The RAT RACE.
LOL! DAMN HATE THOSE THAT DO NOT USE A TURN SIGNAL. SEEN A CN TRUCK (TRACK PATROL, for those that don't know what that is, it is a truck designed to drive down the track ahead of the train to make sure it is free of debris, etc.) WITH SAFETY FIRST AS THEIR MOTTO (actually was BC Rail's first) ON THE SIDES OF TRUCK, YET THEY SEEM TO FORGET HOW THAT DEVICE IS USED. COPS TOO. SEE IT ALL THE TIME, AND THAT IS DANGEROUS. HELL OF A LOT MORE THAN THE SPEEDER WHO IS LONG GONE OUT OF YOUR WAY. even seen an ambulance when I was in Edmonton for Christmas, no signal, just a last minute turn, no lights either. HMMM. professional. I have seen the truck drivers make some awfully stupid maneuvers, pro's my ass. Driving like it is a sports car for christs sakes. especially as you go to the coast of BC. Terrible menaces on the road, and everyone knows it, those logging trucks, wow, don't get me started. And those truck drivers down there weaving in and out of traffic, passing when they shouldn't, good lord they need a thumping. I love to see the DOT out and harrassing them.
Hey and I can say this as I have family in the business, but I do hope they are better than what is out there, (must be they are business owners and come from second gereration truckers, and one owns a school).

I love it when the OPP nails menace drivers. Funny how many of them stand and argue with the cop about how great they are and how brakes are for old ladies and why aren't they harassing the people who get in their way. It might be even funnier how many of those superb drivers are getting squeegied off the asphalt of Highway 69 - if it weren't for the innocent people they take out with them. Really sucks to be a cop on that road.

Driving a car or a truck is important business. It is scary to think that on a 100 car pileup all 100 drivers were not paying close attention. And we hear all these brave drivers that speed doesn't kill is people that do. What a stupid way of thinking. One thing here is for sure the idiot that causes accidents on a regular bases should be extracted from all driving privileges.

I don't tailgate, never did. What's the rush? I drive a huge pickup, so speed is not an objective. Furthermore, why take the risk of tailgating someone in a bad mood who's carrying a gun? Surely not worth risking my life for.

how do you know they are caring a gun?

Well, how do you know they're not?

In some states, particularly in the deep south, having a gun in your vehicle is not uncommon. Don't take any chances, don't tailgate. I've heard too many news reports of road rage that ends up in one or both vegicles engaging in gunfire.

Four-gun rack, rife with hardware, in the back window of some good ol' boy's Silverado is a pretty good clue (although the Canadian version is filled with fishin' poles) there might just be a sawed-off space-maker under the seat.

Friendliest little haul I ever did was the day I floated a Sherman tank - with a darkened-out muzzle block and its turret in trail - all the way from Hearst to Toronto. Nary a tailgater to be seen all along Hwy's 11, 400, 401 or the DVP.

My guess is, for some, the cure is a tailgunner....

I am usually watching the road, so what the person in front of me or to the right or left, what they have in their car is of no concern to me, and if I am driving properly like one is suppose to be, it would not concern me. My concern when on the highway or any road is watching out for the drivers, not what they have or don't have in their vehicle. Someone this inattentive should be shot. And if I am shot, well not much I can do after I am dead, so the 'what if' is moot and childish.
I also know that they carry guns in the US, that is old news. Don't waste my time with the obvious. And I am okay with guns, they do not bother me, or give me the vapors. Maybe I will blow the guy from arsehole to breakfast before he gets me. Who knows.
So yeah I tailgate when I want to take the first opportunity to pass, or I will when some ass wipe cuts in front of me, or is going way below the speed limit.
My motto is, LEAD, FOLLOW, OR GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY!
Don't worry about me, I like to take chances, and I am an excellent driver. I don't scare easy. But thanks for the concern amigo.

so you carry a gun for just such emergencies? and here's something you may want to consider there are thousands of handguns that are smuggled over the border from the U.S.- and for all your bluster if anyone ever stuck a gun in your face you would probably sh*t yourself.

At least it would take a gun. unlike some where a simple BOO! sends them packing.

I don't care if someone tailgates me, If I have to slam on the brakes for some reason they had better have insurance-I let my lawyer do the talking.

Dear friends on this forum, I am happy to take the time to explain to all of you the reason I speak in such ill manner towards other fellow human beings. The thought of dieing while driving to work or home has entered all reasonable drivers minds. It is despicable in the population of drivers that some drivers treat their cars, the road, and human civility like a toilet. When bully s takes the position that no one matters but them, then is the time to teach this ruthless creatures a lesson they will never forget.

The truth is that some bully s are human beings that were mentally and physically abused while children, the same way you beat and abuse a young pit bull to make a killer dog, that is all these goofs are the perfect imitation of a raging pit bull.

The silver lining here is some of them unfortunately end up with a led behind the ears or in prison like the resent example in Ontario some goof was given 5 years in jail for causing a 7 car pile up and killing an innocent person. It make me soooooooo annnnngry

What about the assholes that I swear just drive on our 400 series hiways just to sit in the left lane and REFUSING to move so the person behind them can pass? I thought the left lane was for passing, hell I use the right lane to pass! You wonder why there are so many angry, aggressice drivers on our roads! People should actually learn the rules of the road before driving on them!
Check out this story today in the news: http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_20080.aspx

When did that quaint European custom of blinding your opponnent before passing become legal? High beams aren't strictly legal ... and they sure aren't signals. Even some cops use high beams instead of reds now. Who is responsible if the blind driver hits something/someone?

Driving instructors.... One explained to my daughter that high beams were only to be used on unlit roadways where they couldn't blind other drivers ... or to give warning that you were passing.... Hmmm....

I watched a driving school car as it nosed into a parking gap, bounced up onto the sidewalk, then rebounded back down into the gutter. The car stopped when the vehicle ahead shuddered, then backed to evenly fill out the parking space. To my friend - through a bit of restrained laughter - I commented about how the instructor would have something to say about that. Moments later, my laugh was loud, long and clearly audible to the lone occupant of that car as he exited the vehicle.

Woof!

Shouldnt have to get to that point of using high beams, just MOVE to the right when you see someone coming up behind you quickly. I dont use my high beams, I have a really loud horn on my van that usually gets people to move very quickly.
Its all just a game now in Toronto, lets see who we can piss off today by driving real slow in the fast lane and not move.

...um ... not every highway is sixteen lanes wide and lit by night. If I pull to the right, I'm going to be kicking stones on your loud-horned van ... and I won't take to the ditch for anyone's hurry.
