Strange that I haven't seen it on the news, though I have started watching news on that channel they mentioned, NTV, everyday.
It is, indeed, funny to learn at CanCon of what is going on in my country...
Nowadays the Russian Orthodox Church, the historically dominant Christian denomination in Russia, is treated by the media in many respects like the Communist Party used to be treated during Socialism. I really doubt we will hear a lot about this story from the media in Russia.
