hi guys i'm a newcomer i'm dentist, i'm married ,one kid, living in toronto, i need to study and pass some tests then go to university for couple years to get a licience, the life expenses are so expensive here in toronto , and hard to find a nice job here because of the language , the only jobs i got were in labour , high rate of competion and long distaces to go esp i don't have a car right now,it was hard 4 me to work in labour and study at the same or kind of imopssible, anyway i'm thinking to move by myself out of ontario to find a job (doesn't require alot of physical effort like carrying heavy weights) and affordable place to live so i can work and study and if everything goes along so my wife and kid gonna follow me , so any ideas and thanx alot guys and which area is good 4 me to start there? and is easy to find an entry level job in victoria?

Hi there, and welcome to CC. Unfortunately, it's been more than a few years since I lived in Victoria, so I can't provide you with any of the answers you're looking for. We do have a few folks here from there, they might be able to answer some of those questions for you. I imagine it will be a difficult decision if you have to leave your family behind... I hope it doesn't come to that for you.
Good luck!

the irony. I had a tooth pulled today.

Why do you want to go all the way to Victoria? Why not somewhere closer?

Your english isn't that bad. Have you considered some type of entry level clerk job?

If it were me, and I had a kid, and wanted a community I could afford, I'd head to Prince George! The University is a good one, you can afford to live, and the wildlife is incredible! My sis lives up there, what I like about the town is it's community spirit.... I like it!
I don't live there because I love being on the Island, and never want to move off her.

I've got to agree, Prince George....

You could do a lot worse overall....

I might be able to get you the name( a dentist ) who might be able to give you more info if you like....

Go to Ottawa. It's closer. I don't know about cheaper, though. Lots of work here too.
