What's going on with the Republican party and all these supposedly straight laced and god fearing politicians getting caught in highly compromising situations?

Mark Foley and his misbehaviour with Congressional pages, Bob Allen in Florida now Larry Craig of Idaho caught trying to solicit sex from undercover male cops in bathrooms. Plus all the senators linked to Washington DC escort services.

The Republicans have often pointed their fingers at the Democrats, acussing them of moral corruption, but all this crap makes Bill and Monica look downright innocent.

lol...Because it's as simple as this...It was once sumized that the most agressive gay bashers are in fact closet homosexuals, acting out of personal tormented repressed rage...

Perhaps the Rep are following the same path?

Perhaps that's why I hate the Liberals so much?

I'm confused, it's the Liberals who allowed gay marriages in Canada and Scott Brison left the conservatives for the Liberals after the more fundamentalist Alliance took the party over.

Harper seems a lot more repressed to me than any Liberal...with the possible exception of Ignatieff, what with that guy anyway?

Well, Democrats aren't DOING any better, that's FOR SURE.
Their so called "CHANGE! LET'S MAKING @(#*ING CHANGE!??!!" doesn't come even CLOSE to change.
It just look like face change but the personality stays the same lol.
Their approval rating...is lower than 5% now right?
Bush also ain't so good either, obviously.
It took so long for Americans come to their senses...Bush isn't hero, his phony and trying to act like one.
He began as phony president (ex. He was attacked by American protesters during the day of oath for the president with eggs and fraud scandals in California.) and he will END as big ugly phony president.
Until his death, I mean...wait...even after his death, he will still be remembered ...as phony presiden and how his war caused so much devastation...and and and...

Well, anyways.
Democrats are a bit better :D

good point cobalt - CdnBear isn't making sense - Liberals are "liberal" in that they are not stodgy old puritans who think homosexuality is a sin.

'Sen. Larry Craig of Idaho' was getting ELECTED by appealing to the christian puritan gay-bashing voters, time after time, for 15 years. No gay marriage, no gay rights, and even supporting the "Cure Gays" [with electro-shock, for eg.] idea.

He was ALLWAYS gay, I suppose. He KNEW it too, I bet.

Another question is: "how do those hatefull christians feel now that they see that it was just an act - their hatred for homosexuals was just being used to get votes? [by a homosexual no less!!]

I think it would be a hilarious joke on them, except that homosexuals were paying a price in being denied equal status, and even getting 'offical okay to display their gay-phobias'.

They never claimed to be the party of God, the party of morality, or the party of family values.

Yeah, they have their shortcomings like you and I and everybody else. But religious hypocrisy certainly isn't one of them.

I'm not surprised...

Have no idea, don't care either...

Try reading my post again...

Or better yet, I'll just break it down for ya...

I was joking about being a closet Liberal.

Humour is always lost on the left fringe. Remove stick, smile, be happy, get life.

I think not

It's good to see that the majority of USA folks have finally been alerted to the fact that the Repukeblicans are so full of sh*t. No wonder they lost the last election and their popularity ratings numbers are going down ... down ... down ...

If the Democrats didn't have such a large leftist extremist base (like yourself), the Republicans never had a chance to win....ever. But keep sucking up to people like Fidel and Chavez and see how much support you get.

For the first time in my life, I'm actually considering voting Republican next Presidential run.

LOL Gopher - some of the most active religious people in the U.S. vote Democrat - the Black Christians and the Latino R.C.s - and they are quietly moving to the right because the anti-religious philosophy disagrees with what many of the minority groups believe in. Ever watched a Black Preacher? Gotta start moving away from Katie Couric.... cut the cord man.... There are enough hypocrites regarding religious rhetoric to spread it out into all the parties.

Sorry it's kind of obscure(and not very funny even when explained). It just comes off as being bitter.

Considering the party you support is in the minority I don't consider myself in the fringe at all. Actually a majority of Canadians seem to want to see sanity in our our government, something we still don't have.

Bitter??? That would be an understatement... 8O

Considering the party I support has not perpetrated the same amount of criminal behavior as the LPoC, nore shown signs of fraternizing with the enemy like the NDP...I think I'm rooting for the right team...

Oh...btw..it isn't your political affiliation that makes you one of the fringe elements...

Who told you I was leftist? You've been here long enough to see that I endorsed Ron Paul previously. Are you telling me he's a leftist as well?

Before you categorize anyone, please do your homework.

As for voting Republican, that's your right. But your numbers are dwindling and for good reason.

``they are quietly moving to the right because the anti-religious philosophy disagrees with what many of the minority groups believe in``

You have any proof for that?

Why did so many Latinos vote Democrat in the past election?

Why are southern Blacks voting Dem as well?

Don't worry Zan and other mods, I won't answer it as Bear is obviously having a paranoid fit.

See you later. There are bigger fish to fry on other forums.
